Energy movement from the eyebrows to the back of the head has emerged again.

Even with seated meditation, or simply sitting, I perform it if I have time, coordinating it with my breath.

As a basic principle, I move in one direction every 2-3 breaths. When I say "breath," I mean that when I inhale, I move it backward, and when I exhale, I move it forward. I combine this with 2-3 sets of breaths, so that when it's moving backward, I focus on inhaling and moving it backward, and I repeat this for 2-3 breaths. Similarly, when it's moving forward, I focus on exhaling and moving it forward, and I repeat this for 2-3 breaths. The number of repetitions is not strict, so I switch directions when it stops moving.

I haven't been specifically taught this by anyone, but I do it as follows:

* From the space between the eyebrows to the back of the head, backward:
* Exhale: Quickly.
* Inhale: Slowly, focusing on moving it backward while pressing on the focal point. It's important to actually move it. I imagine a ball of energy moving slightly between the space between the eyebrows and the back of the head (if it doesn't move at all, it might be too early to do this).
* If it's still in the middle, continue to the next breath.
* Exhale: Quickly.
* Inhale: Same as above, continuing from where it left off.
* If it stops moving, switch directions.
* If it seems like it might still move, continue in the same way.
* Exhale: Quickly.
* Inhale: Same as above, continuing from where it left off.

* From the back of the head to the space between the eyebrows, forward:
* Exhale: Slowly, focusing on moving it forward while pressing on the focal point. Be careful, as with the above.
* Inhale: Quickly.
* If it's still in the middle, continue to the next breath.
* Exhale: Same as above, continuing from where it left off.
* Inhale: Quickly.
* If it stops moving, switch directions.
* If it seems like it might still move, continue in the same way.
* Exhale: Same as above, continuing from where it left off.
* Inhale: Quickly.

When I do this, the area around the space between the eyebrows and the back of the head, and the throat area (Vishuddha), becomes more relaxed. The cheeks also become more relaxed. As a result, energy flows to the chest area (Anahata), and the overall energy in the body increases slightly.

* Specific changes and signs:
* I hear a "clicking" sound, like a "tapping" sound, coming from inside my head, repeatedly. This is accompanied by gradual improvements in the energy flow.

While this method is the result of trial and error, the basic concept is similar to what is written in yoga, theosophy, or brotherhood texts. For example, in yoga, it is described that by focusing on the inflow and outflow of prana (life energy) between the eyebrows during meditation, the Ajna chakra (third eye) opens. (This is just one method, but that's the key point.) Other texts describe imagining a straight pipe from the space between the eyebrows to the back of the head, and repeatedly moving energy back and forth through it to open the third eye. I have been referring to these descriptions as well.

In reality, I have been trying similar things for quite some time, but I haven't been able to get a clear sense of it working properly. Although there are times when it does move slightly, it often feels like the wheels of a car are stuck in a rut, and then it takes time to get it moving again. I have to focus on the area around it and meditate for a while to get it moving again, which takes time and prevents me from making much progress.

This time, although there are still some sticking points, the frequency of getting stuck in a rut has decreased. When I wake up in the morning, it tends to be closed, but after meditating for a while and then moving it again, it moves to the area around the space between the eyebrows and the center of my head in a few breaths. Although it hasn't quite reached the back of my head yet, it seems to be easier to get it moving overall.

The more I do this, the more relaxed the areas around my head become, and the stiffness in my throat is relieved. The relief of the stiffness in my throat (Vishuddha) corresponds to a slight widening of the energy channels, which makes it easier for prana (energy) to flow from the space between the eyebrows to the chest area (Anahata). It's not that prana hasn't flowed there before, but the gradual widening of the channels is increasing the amount of energy entering my body.

According to one text, nothing happens until the 99th time, and a dramatic change occurs on the 100th time. Although I don't have the feeling that my Ajna chakra is completely open yet, I think I'm starting to see some energy movement.

I received this inspiration at various places during my trip.

* At Mount Kensho in Tokushima, I felt a sense of oneness with the earth.
* During the Awa Odori experience in Tokushima, I felt changes in the energy of my body due to the movements.
* At the Kojo Hall in Aza-no-mine, Wakayama, I felt energy in the space between my eyebrows.
* At the Daidenpo Hall and the Komyoden Hall in Negoro-ji Temple, Wakayama, I felt energy in the space between my eyebrows after sitting for a short time.
* I received a very grateful and powerful energy in the space between my eyebrows from the statue of Fudo Myoo enshrined in the Daigon Cave of Kiso-i Temple, Wakayama.
* Near the main hall of Hase-dera Temple in Nara, I felt energy in the space between my eyebrows.
* At Hasedera Temple in Nara, I felt energy in the space between my eyebrows.
* At the temples of Nara: Horyu-ji, Chuguji, Horyu-ji, and Hoki-ji, I felt energy in the space between my eyebrows.
* At Yakushi-ji Temple in Nara, I felt energy in the space between my eyebrows.

Actually, once energy flows to the area between the eyebrows, the location becomes less of an issue. I have been meditating in various places, such as on trains and benches, moving the energy in the area between the eyebrows. For some reason, in certain places, the energy felt like "cat hair that is agitated," which was not conducive to meditation, so I avoided meditating there. However, during this trip, there were relatively many places where I could meditate peacefully, and I felt that I could enter a meditative state and perform energy work on the area between the eyebrows, even without sitting in a cross-legged position.

■ Focusing on the area between the eyebrows during meditation resulted in a slight lightning-like sensation near the crown of the head.

Furthermore, unexpectedly, while focusing on the area between the eyebrows and the back of the head, I felt a slight lightning-like sensation near the top of the head, slightly away from that area. This sensation, along with similar subtle sensations in other parts of the head (though less intense), made me feel that the energy flow in the entire head improved slightly.

Location:
- Near the crown of the head, slightly to the right of the hairline.

Changes:
- The energy flow improved slightly.
- The subtle energy flowing to other parts of the head increased slightly.

As a result, I feel that changes are occurring throughout the head, although they are subtle.
