To resolve trauma, recover the mabui (soul).

When traumatic images or thoughts suddenly resurface during meditation or daily life, it is effective to intend to recover the fragments of one's own "mabui" (soul) that are left behind in that place, and at the same time, to return the "mabui" (soul) of the other person that has been taken into oneself to the other person.

In the world, it is often said, "Let's accept the trauma," but I think there is a misunderstanding. It is not about that. If you accept the trauma, you will only lose yourself.

Some people may say, "There is neither self nor other. It is oneness," but this is not about that. People are born with their own challenges, so it is important to return the soul that one was born with to oneself, and to return the soul that belongs to the other person that one has been carrying to the other person. The other person should walk their own path and live their own life, so there is no need to carry that burden. Each individual is independent and self-sufficient, so the soul that the other person should have should be returned to them, and if a part of one's soul has been left behind in that place, it should be recovered.

In Okinawa, this kind of story is often told, and it is said that if you are surprised or shocked, you lose your "mabui" (soul), but it can be recovered by yourself if it is within a few days. In reality, if one grows spiritually, it seems that it is possible to recover it even after a longer period of time through meditation.

In fact, I have not been doing this kind of thing until recently, but recently, I tried it by chance, and it has been surprisingly effective. Every time memories from childhood that were still lingering resurface during meditation, I think, "Ah, this must be where my 'mabui' is left behind," and I declare during meditation, "I will recover my 'mabui'. Please come back. And, I will return the other person's 'mabui' that has remained within me to its owner." Then, something gently enters my body, and at the same time, a smoky feeling that was within me seems to leave my body and return to the other person. By doing this, I feel better.

I think now that I should have practiced this method earlier, but it is quite effective, and if there is even a slightly painful image during meditation, if you do this, it will change to a colorless and transparent image relatively quickly. In this way, trauma seems to become just one memory (although it is a memory that is hardly remembered).
