About a week ago, an aura has been gradually permeating from the back of the head, near the top of the skull, towards the center of the head, taking about 0.5 seconds. It feels like water seeping into dry ground. Previously, the aura's boundary was roughly around the skull, and the area below the skull was starting to be filled with aura. However, recently, the aura has started to permeate the top of the skull, although it's mainly in the back. Although it's only a slight permeation on the surface of the skull, it's still a significant improvement compared to before, when there was very little aura on the top of the skull.
As a result, the loosening in my head is accelerating even further, and I feel that areas like the frontal lobe are becoming even more relaxed.
Even with slight and relatively similar changes, by repeatedly loosening things, I eventually feel that the aura permeates and loosens everything in a granular way.
As a result, the stable point for the aura has shifted from the lower part of the back of the head to the upper part of the back of the head. For example, when I meditate in the morning, I used to start from the stable point in the lower part of the back of the head and gradually raise the aura towards the upper part of the back of the head and the crown chakra (Sahasrara). Now, because the stable point is in the back of the head, when I wake up in the morning (depending on the day), the aura is often already filled up to the back of the head, and then I start meditating and fill the aura from there towards the crown and the frontal lobe.
Even before, I could gradually fill the aura from the lower part of the back of the head, then the upper part of the back of the head, and finally the crown chakra. However, with the slight shift in the stable point for the aura, I can now perform the earlier stages more quickly.
Now that the back of the head is stable, the immediate goals are to further stabilize and fill the crown chakra with aura, and to further fill the frontal lobe with aura and loosen it, as it still doesn't feel fully open.
Over the past month or so, I've been doing something that is probably the "Rudra Granthi" in yoga. Rudra is another name for Shiva, and "Granthi" means knot, so it's a spiritual knot in the middle of the head. Based on the yoga descriptions, it seems to be interpreted as a single point, but it seems to have a larger meaning of opening the energy channels in various parts of the head.
This is not, as is often said, that Kundalini rises from the Muladhara (base chakra), but rather that it enters through the Ajna and passes through the center of the head, then descends through the Vishuddha in the throat, to the Anahata in the chest, and then to the Manipura in the abdomen, and after filling various parts of the body, it ascends again from the Anahata in the chest, through the Vishuddha in the throat, and through the back of the head, reaching the Sahasrara at the crown of the head and the Ajna between the eyebrows. That is the feeling I have. It is not entering from the Muladhara, but rather, as mentioned in the Indian story of Shiva, energy enters through the Ajna. In this regard, the following books have similar descriptions:
Before the power of Kundalini rises from the lower part of the spine towards the head, it first enters the body through the pineal gland, descends from the pineal gland to other endocrine glands in the body, and then rises. In other words, it must descend before it rises. (Omitted) The awareness that this cosmic power has entered you is first experienced as a strong vibration in the head. "The True Meaning of Esotericism," p. 158.
And by repeatedly channeling energy to various parts of the head with the power of will, the energy becomes easier to flow, and the channels open. This is consistent with my understanding.
Previously, I did not understand this well, and I only understood Kundalini as energy rising from the Muladhara. Now, I clearly understand that it first descends from the Ajna.
Based on this knowledge, by consciously focusing on drawing energy (prana) from the front of the Ajna between the eyebrows and bringing it into the head through the Ajna, energy actually enters. Then, by filling every part of the body with that energy, and circulating it through the back of the head, to the Sahasrara at the crown of the head, and back to the Ajna between the eyebrows. By simply adding this step of drawing energy (prana) from the front of the Ajna between the eyebrows, the quality of meditation is accelerated. This is because, until the block in the center of the head is released, it is not possible to clearly draw in energy, and now, I feel that it has had an immense effect.
Even if the block in the center of the head is released, there may be some effects, such as improved speech or a clearer head, which leads to better understanding and memory, but it does not seem to be a fundamental change. By adding the step of drawing energy (prana) from the Ajna between the eyebrows, the process that previously took time has been accelerated, and I feel that I may be able to reach the next stage in my practice.
According to the book "Mikkyo Yoga" (authored by Hiroshi Honzan), one of the practices for opening the Ajna chakra involves repeatedly drawing prana (energy) into or out of the Ajna. It is similar to that.
