The previous classifications have mainly been understood as conceptual or as differences in ingredients and materials according to Ayurveda. However, from a yogic perspective, it may be more directly understood as differences in the progress of meditation, vibrations, and auras. However, this differs from the conventional understanding, so caution is necessary. Recently, there has been increasing evidence of consistency between this explanation and the actual state of auras.

### Tamas
People who are excessively depressed, those who are trapped in certain concepts, or those who have many distracting thoughts are considered to be in a state of Tamas. Eating meat or heavy meals falls into this category. There is a relationship where people with a Tamasic mind tend to prefer such meals, and conversely, people who prefer such meals tend to have a Tamasic mind. Even when meditating, they have many distracting thoughts and cannot continue for long. If they can reach a meditative state for even a few minutes, they become troubled by distracting thoughts. In such cases, meditative activities that involve action should be used to calm the mind. Emotionally, they tend to be depressed and melancholic, and some constantly feel irritated and have explosive emotions. In terms of chakras, this can be said to be a state where the base chakra (first chakra, Muladhara) is not functioning properly.

### Rajas
From the perspective of the progress of meditation, vibrations, and auras, most Japanese people generally fall into this category. They tend to be active and passionate about things that interest them. This stage includes multiple chakras.

- **Muladhara chakra as vital energy**
- **Svadhisthana chakra as emotion**
- **Manipura chakra as human love**

Any of these can be said to be a human and emotionally rich state. This can also be called the astral lower plane.

### Astral Upper Plane
On the other hand, the astral upper plane includes the following chakras:

- **Anahata chakra, which is the gateway to universal love**
- **Vishuddha chakra, which governs communication**
- **Ajna chakra, which governs intelligence**

These chakras exist in the astral realm and beyond, but from the perspective of Rajas, they are considered to be in this state.

■Sattva

When all these astral states are purified and stillness arrives, Sattva appears. The quality of Sattva manifests gradually, and even when transitioning from Tamas to Rajas, the Sattvic quality can be mixed with Tamas and transform into Rajas. Therefore, a person who is Tamasic may experience a state of supposed stillness and reach Rajas, but that state of stillness is still a state where Tamas and Rajas are dominant. On the other hand, a Sattvic state of stillness is a state where Rajas gradually becomes less dominant and Sattva becomes dominant. Since Guna (Tamas, Rajas, Sattva) is the manifestation of this world as matter, it is not possible for any of them to be completely zero. However, there is a dominant quality, and when Tamas becomes less dominant and Rajas gradually cedes its dominance to Sattva, it is said to be a Sattvic state of stillness. For a saint, it is still just the beginning, or perhaps far from being a saint, but even so, for someone who has been living in the world with Rajas, it is a sufficiently sacred state.

Even if all the Gunas do not disappear, it is possible to occasionally descend from Sattva to Rajas and experience emotions. Thus, humans live their lives, but the dominance of each Guna gradually leads towards Sattva, and the stillness deepens.

Furthermore, in the Karana (Causal) realm, which is more fundamental than the astral realm, it seems that the whole picture gradually becomes clear only when it becomes Sattvic. Although one may feel its influence even in Rajas, it seems that one clearly feels destiny and karma only when one becomes Sattvic, or when the Sattvic quality increases.

In the astral realm, chakras exist clearly, but in the Karana realm, chakras become ambiguous and become something immutable, such as the heart chakra (Anahata) or the whole body. These are revealed by Sattva.

First, the chakras in the astral realm are purified by Rajas, and then, in the Karana realm, the karma of the Karana realm, which is felt as the whole body's aura, is purified by Sattva.

As Sattva increases, a door to a higher dimension will open. I feel that as a premonition of my own future changes.
