First, the preliminary stage
If the left and right nostrils, Ida (left) and Pingala (right), are not open, open them.
While using Kecharimudra, you can also do pranayama, but the important thing is to open these channels.
The "sign" of opening them is the sensation of the left and right nostrils rising. You can clearly feel that even if only one side is open, energy enters from the nostrils, and if both sides are open, the energy becomes even stronger.
Further, the initial state
In the preliminary stage, only a thin, needle-like energy enters. However, even that is much better compared to a state where nothing enters. Initially, even if it's just a needle, you are opening the channels for pranayama. That's the starting point.
Initially, you may only feel a slight sensation of the nostrils rising.
After that, Ida and Pingala become further activated, and the energy passing through the space between the eyebrows increases.
Pulsation between the eyebrows
When Ida and Pingala are open, you will begin to feel a pulsation between the eyebrows.
Bringing in and releasing prana
In conjunction with the pulsation between the eyebrows, prana first enters. Prana enters from the front of the face towards the center of the head, and then further into the abdomen.
After a certain amount of prana enters, it then exits. At this time, you may feel a sensation of the area between the eyebrows rising. There may be a sensation of pressure from the inside, causing the skin to bulge slightly, and at the same time, a feeling of relaxation in that area.
The "pop" between the eyebrows
According to records, about 5 months ago, an explosion occurred in front of the space between the eyebrows, accompanied by a sensation of "pop." At that time, the front side of the Ajna chakra may have opened somewhat. However, I don't think it was completely open at that point.
Increased energy flow through the space between the eyebrows and the Ajna (third eye)
In yoga, spirituality, or even theosophy, the energy flow through the space between the eyebrows is often discussed. The route from the space between the eyebrows to the center of the head is particularly important, and energy work that involves concentrating on the space between the eyebrows and then moving that energy to the center of the head is sometimes described in books.
And although I have heard these stories before, I now feel that I am finally reaching a point where it "feels right."
Until now, I haven't had these sensations, and sometimes I thought I might be able to achieve them. However, compared to the current state, I think I wasn't able to do it at all.
At this point, it is true that I feel my Ajna chakra has not yet fully opened.
In the past, I was often unsure whether I could perform this kind of energy work, and I didn't quite understand how much I should do. However, now, I am starting to feel some progress, and I am beginning to believe that if I continue on this path, it may only be a matter of time before my Ajna fully opens. I am at a stage where my conviction that this path is correct is growing stronger.
Therefore, all that remains is to deepen that conviction and see what actually happens.
However, as there have been many times in the past where I have made hypotheses that turned out to be slightly different in reality, I cannot say with absolute certainty that this is completely correct. Nevertheless, I think this is a much more reliable account than before.
Reproducibility
In the past, some of the experiences I occasionally had were not always reproducible. However, with this method, at least for me personally, it is reproducible. The method itself is broadly similar to what others and different schools have said, although there are some differences.
- Ida and Pingala
- Pranayama
- Between the eyebrows (third eye, sixth chakra, front of Ajna)
- When this opens, the vibration level increases. The body's energy is activated (further). Mental distractions decrease, and stillness deepens.
Normally, the area between the eyebrows is often simply mentioned as a point of concentration, or the focus is on breathing. However, in reality, it is about channeling energy through that area, and specifically, it results in significant changes in the physical body.
Sometimes, discussions about this kind of topic focus only on the mental aspects, but in reality, the changes that occur are a continuous process from the physical to the mental.
And my hypothesis is that these changes are reproducible. At least, they are reproducible for me personally, and how well they can be applied to others is something I will explore in the future. I don't think it's a completely wrong idea.
Still Temporary
I am not in this state constantly, but gradually, the time it takes to reach this state after starting meditation is becoming shorter. Also, the amount of time I can maintain this state after finishing meditation is increasing. Therefore, I think it will only be a matter of time before it becomes stable.
Since being unstable means it is not fully open, even so, it is difficult to determine the exact meaning of "complete," so I think that if it becomes easier to open to a certain extent, that will be sufficient for now, and I am aiming for a little more stability.
An Example
There is a method to focus on the area between the eyebrows and connect it to the pituitary gland, pineal gland, and the top of the head. As an example, the following expression exists:
The awareness that this cosmic energy is entering you first manifests as a strong vibration in the head. (Omitted) As the cosmic energy flows through the front part of the body, all cells of the physical body awaken and become vibrant. (Omitted) Then, you begin to gain an awareness of the power to do things that you previously thought were impossible. The difference between a superhuman (saint) and an ordinary person is the difference in the amount of cosmic energy that flows through them. "From 'Secret Teachings,' p. 161."
This is just one expression, but similar expressions can be found in other books. In particular, it seems that this part is consistently described as important, regardless of the school of thought. However, I think that sometimes this state does not occur, or it is understood as a psychological phenomenon or a logical concept, leading to a missed opportunity to observe these energy changes, or even a disbelief that such things could happen to oneself in the future.
I believe that this is not something that only happens to saints or special people, but rather a story with reproducibility for many people. However, it may simply be that the method is slightly different, or that there is some misunderstanding, or that it is happening too quickly.
No Longer Seeking a Savior
At this level, things like seeking help from something or wanting a savior, which are common in the world, disappear.
However, even at this level, it is still immature. Nevertheless, some degree of connection with the universe is occurring.
Taking in prana, the energy of the universe, through the third eye between the eyebrows means feeling the universe. It is a state of oneness and a higher dimension. Although it is still limited, it is a state where one can clearly know what the oneness of the universe is.
