In yoga, there are nadis, which are energy channels. I feel that the energy is flowing well, especially in the chest and abdominal area, and it feels breezy.
Although I have felt full of energy before, I think that until now, the energy from the area between the eyebrows has not flowed through this channel to that extent. Now, I feel like a light breeze is blowing from the area between the eyebrows, through the throat, and down to the abdomen.
This is a diagram from the classic "Chakras" by C.W. Rudabeck. In this diagram, the line extending from the space between the eyebrows goes straight towards the back of the head. However, if you lower that line and extend it diagonally from the space between the eyebrows towards the throat, the Vishuddha chakra, it feels more like my own experience.
The Sahasrara chakra is quite delicate, and while it has been strengthening recently, it is still prone to blockage. I still experience this tendency when I go out and am in the city. However, since the energy flow from the space between the eyebrows has recently become active, it has become easier to feel energetically stable.
While the energy from the Sahasrara chakra is generally sufficient and stable, the energy from the space between the eyebrows is slightly closer to the material and phenomenal realms. In terms of dealing with reality, it may be slightly easier and more stable than the Sahasrara chakra. This is both good and bad. The Sahasrara chakra is said to be a gateway to higher dimensions, connecting to higher states of consciousness. However, the Ajna chakra, while also relatively high, is closer to the material realm than the Sahasrara chakra and has a slightly heavier vibration, which is why it is more stable.
The energy that flows from the Ajna chakra feels like wind. According to conventional wisdom, the Anahata chakra corresponds to the element of wind. Indeed, this energy flowing from the Ajna chakra interacts with the Anahata chakra and feels like wind. Until now, even though I knew that the Anahata chakra corresponded to the element of wind, I didn't fully understand it.
However, the fact that I feel a strong sense of wind in the Anahata chakra, and that the same energy flowing from the Ajna chakra also reaches the Manipura chakra, where I also feel wind, but with a slightly warm sensation, makes me understand why the Manipura chakra is said to correspond to the element of fire.
When the same energy reaches the Swadhisthana chakra, it feels like "drip, drip," which makes me understand why the Swadhisthana chakra is said to correspond to the element of water.
The Muladhara chakra is said to correspond to the element of earth, and I feel it as the sensation of well-tilled, moderately moist, and pleasant soil in a field. This also aligns with conventional wisdom.
▪️Actively open the Sushumna and allow energy to flow through.
Until now, while my experience of the chakras generally aligned with conventional wisdom, I hadn't felt it so clearly. This energy flow like wind, connected to the Ajna chakra, has activated each chakra, and as a result, I feel that my overall sense of stability and awareness has improved in my daily life. It seems that my grounding has been strengthened.
When going out and walking in the city, by being conscious of the central axis of the head, I can properly adjust the area that tends to get blocked, and allow energy to flow from the ajna chakra down to the lower body. As a result, I can walk among large crowds without being as affected by the aura of others.
This route still tends to get blocked, especially in the area around the base of the neck, below the head, in the back of the throat or slightly above it, and not as far as the back of the head. It seems to get blocked when my head is slightly tilted forward and I have a slight hunchback. The solution seems to be to keep the head straight relative to the neck, which allows energy to flow more easily. When it's blocked, it's not completely blocked like it used to be, but rather like a hose that is twisted or slightly bent, and the water flow is slightly weak. Even so, the difference in sensation is quite significant. Even if the body is mostly straight, there is often something subtle that is not flowing properly. Recently, when I meditate and adjust the energy, there is often a "cracking" sound before the energy starts to flow properly. I have mostly understood the location and the trick, so when energy is not flowing properly, it is a good idea to adjust the area around the base of the neck through meditation. Although it is a subtle difference in the physical body, that physical difference greatly affects the energy.
When I am in good condition, energy flows smoothly from the forehead, through the third eye, to the throat (vishuddha), and then to the heart (anahata) and the solar plexus (manipura). As a result, I feel a strong pressure, like water filling a hose, in the energy channel along the spine, which is called the Sushumna in yoga. When energy is blocked in the head and not flowing through that route, I don't feel that strong pressure in the hose at all. Even then, the body is always in a state where the aura is filling the whole body, but I don't feel that strong pressure of energy flowing through that route.
Through this, the Sushumna channel is opening up, and although I have been able to use this route to some extent in the past, I haven't been able to use it properly. As a result, I feel that energy is now flowing strongly through the Sushumna channel, like water filling a hose. However, it is still unstable, so I think I need to constantly maintain a state of being filled with energy in the future.
Perhaps, when Purusha entered from Sahasrara, it forced its way in, and as a result, the Sushumna channel temporarily opened from Sahasrara, passing through the back of the head and the throat (Vishuddha) to reach Anahata. However, since Purusha essentially resides in the small chamber in the chest, the Sushumna channel in the back of the head was not used much after that. And, after a while, as things settle down, the back of the head begins to return to its original state, causing a feeling of energy stagnation and slight discomfort. This hypothesis may also be possible.
The facial expression seems to be related to the fullness of this energy. When the route from Ajna to Sushumna is somewhat blocked, the expression is relatively slightly tired, which is very noticeable when looking in the mirror.
Also, I have always had a weaker aura (compared to the left arm) in my right arm from the right shoulder. However, when the Sushumna channel is activated, I feel that the aura fills up to my right arm, so it seems to lead to the strengthening of the aura of the entire body, not just the Sushumna channel. It seems that when the Sushumna channel is activated through Ajna in addition to Sahasrara, the aura of the right arm becomes more solid than when only Sahasrara is open.
I take in energy (prana) from Ajna and its surroundings, as if breathing. However, because my throat is not yet fully open, I feel a slight constriction when the energy (prana) passes through my throat. To deal with this, I take slightly deeper breaths, making sure to breathe deeply to make it easier to open my throat. When the throat is opened, what was previously blocked and accumulated energy in the area above the throat flows more forcefully downwards, and by repeating this, I can take in energy from around Ajna through the throat and into the chest.
Although the Vishuddha channel in the throat has been somewhat open for a while, I have always been weak in the throat area (Vishuddha), so although it is not completely open yet, it is open to some extent. By paying close attention and opening it with deep breaths, energy (prana) flows from around the head, through the throat, and powerfully into the chest and abdomen.
This can be done not only during meditation but also quite often during normal daily life, which seems to be a way to enrich energy in daily life.
When doing this, at the same time, each part of the brain also cracks and relaxes, so it not only takes in energy through the throat, but also gradually relaxes each part of the brain.
When going out, to maintain your energy, Sahasrara is very delicate, but by exploring this solid Ajna channel, I feel that you can stably maintain your energy when going out. Originally, opening both this channel and Sahasrara properly should enrich energy, but it seems better to secure the Ajna channel firmly before opening the Sahasrara channel.
Even if the Sahasrara channel opens, you will become more energetic and in a state filled with love, but even just the Ajna channel is quite sufficient. In the first place, the center of the head was blocked and the Ajna channel was not being explored, and now that I think about it, I am surprised at how unstable my condition used to be, and how I managed to open Sahasrara in that state.
Although Sahasrara has been opened to some extent, I feel that, based on my intuition, it will probably take a little longer for Sahasrara to fully open and connect with higher dimensions, so for now, it seems better to firmly establish the Ajna channel.
Although Sahasrara has been opened to some extent, it seems better to solidify the foundation first.
▪️When Sahasrara begins to open, other chakras are also activated.
The following is from Professor Honzan's experience with Sahasrara:
From the time the Sahasrara chakra began to move and awaken, the lower chakras leading to Sahasrara, and all the abilities that arose from that awakening, gradually increased and deepened. At the same time, other chakras enhanced the dimension of that awakening, and chakras that were not yet fully awakened, such as Vishuddha and Anahata, gradually and steadily awakened. Sahasrara itself also deepened and expanded its activity and dimension of awakening. "Mikkyo Yoga" P211
I also feel this, and after initially reaching Sahasrara, I now connect with the consciousness of creation, destruction, and maintenance in the depths of my chest, and that consciousness rises again and reaches Sahasrara, and then Purusha enters Sahasrara from Anahata, and after being renewed, firmly passes through Ajna and Sushumna, and then will again rise to Sahasrara, and I feel that I am repeatedly changing dimensions to reach Sahasrara.
This is not just about spiritual concepts like Sahasrara or Chakras; it simply feels like my brain is working better.
I think that people who are quick-witted or have a good memory are born with certain qualities (of course, environment and study are also necessary), and that their Chakras are active from the beginning, and their Sushumna channels are well-aligned, which allows for better brain function. If that's the case, it makes sense that women are often said to be smarter, because men tend to have blocked Sushumna channels, while women naturally have the energy needed for childbirth, but men have less energy to begin with. Therefore, the amount of energy and the flow of energy within the body are directly related to brain activity, and men, on average, have less energy and less efficient energy flow than women, which is why many men have average intelligence. Women, on the other hand, are relatively full of energy and have good brain function, which allows them to be smart, study well, and this seems natural when you look at the energy.
If that's the case, it's possible that even someone who is born with a poor intellect can improve their intelligence by meditating and activating their brain through the Sushumna channel, making it possible for them to study. Of course, the extent of the improvement varies, but it might be said that even if someone is born with a poor intellect, there's no need to be overly pessimistic. However, I myself am not as intelligent as I claim to be.
