Although I have felt full of energy before, I think that previously, the energy from the area between the eyebrows was not flowing through this channel as much. Now, I feel like a light breeze is blowing from the area between the eyebrows, through the throat, and down to the abdomen.
This is a diagram from the classic book "The Chakras" by C.W. Rudhyar. In this diagram, the line extending from the third eye goes straight to the back of the head. However, if you lower this line and extend it diagonally from the third eye to the Vishuddha (throat chakra), it aligns more with my own experience. The Sahasrara chakra is quite delicate, and while I have been strengthening it recently, it is still prone to blockage. This tendency is still present when I go out and walk in the city. However, since the energy flow from the third eye has been activated recently, it has become easier to maintain energy stability.
While the Sahasrara chakra alone provides sufficient and stable energy, the energy flow from the third eye is slightly closer to the material and phenomenal realms. In terms of dealing with reality, it is slightly easier and more stable than the Sahasrara chakra. This is both a good and bad thing. The Sahasrara chakra is said to be a gateway to higher dimensions, connecting us to higher states of consciousness. However, the Ajna chakra, while also relatively high, is closer to the material realm than the Sahasrara chakra and has a slightly heavier vibration, which contributes to its stability.
The energy that flows from the Ajna chakra feels like wind. According to conventional teachings, the Anahata chakra corresponds to the element of air. Indeed, this energy flowing from the Ajna chakra interacts with the Anahata chakra and feels like wind. Until now, I could not fully understand the concept that the Anahata chakra corresponds to the element of air.
However, even though I now feel a strong sense of wind in the Anahata chakra, the same energy flowing from the Ajna chakra also reaches the Manipura chakra, where I also feel wind. However, the sensation in the Manipura chakra is more like a warm wind, which makes me understand why the Manipura chakra is traditionally associated with the element of fire.
When the same energy reaches the Swadhisthana chakra, it feels like "drip, drip," which makes me understand why it is traditionally associated with the element of water.
The Muladhara chakra is traditionally associated with the element of earth, but I experience it as a feeling of well-cultivated, moderately moist, and pleasant soil. This also aligns with the traditional understanding.
▪️Activating and opening the Sushumna channel to allow energy to flow.
Until now, while my chakra sensations were generally consistent with conventional teachings, I had not experienced them so clearly. However, the energy flow from the Ajna chakra, which feels like wind, has activated each chakra, and as a result, I feel a greater sense of mental stability in my daily life. My grounding seems to have been strengthened.
When I go out and walk in the city, I focus on the central axis of my head. This helps me to adjust the central part of my head, which is prone to blockage, and allows the energy to flow from the Ajna chakra down to my lower body. This allows me to walk among large crowds without being as affected by the aura of others.
This energy channel is still prone to blockage, especially in the area just above the base of the neck, the lower part of the head, the back of the throat, or slightly above the throat, and the middle part that does not reach the back of the head. This blockage tends to occur when my head is tilted forward or I have a slightly hunched posture. The solution is to keep my head straight relative to my neck, which allows the energy to flow more easily. Even when it is blocked, it is not completely blocked as it was in the past. It is more like a hose that is twisted or slightly bent, causing the water flow to weaken. However, even in this state, there is a noticeable difference in sensation. Even if my body is mostly straight, there is often a subtle misalignment that prevents the energy from flowing properly. During meditation, I often experience a "crackling" sound before the energy begins to flow smoothly. I have now largely understood the location and technique, so if the energy is not flowing properly, I can adjust the area just above the base of the neck through meditation. While this is a subtle difference in the physical body, it makes a significant difference in the energy flow.
When I am in good condition, the energy flows smoothly from the front of my head, from the third eye to the Vishuddha (throat chakra), and then to the Anahata (heart chakra) and Manipura (solar plexus chakra). This creates a sensation of pressure, like water filling a hose, along the spinal energy channel, the Sushumna. When the energy is blocked in the head, the sensation of pressure in the hose is less pronounced. However, even in this state, the body is still enveloped in an aura. The difference is the pressure of the energy flowing through this channel.
This indicates that the Sushumna channel is opening up. While I have been able to use this channel to some extent in the past, I have not been able to use it fully. This experience makes me feel that the energy is now flowing more strongly through the Sushumna channel, like water filling a hose. However, it is still unstable, so I think it is necessary to maintain a state of constant energy flow in the future.
Perhaps, when Purusha entered from Sahasrara, it forcefully opened a path, and as a result, the Sushumna channel temporarily extended from Sahasrara, passing through the back of the head, the throat (Vishuddha), and reaching Anahata. However, since Purusha primarily resides in the inner chamber of the chest, the Sushumna channel in the back of the head was not used much afterward. Consequently, when one tries to stabilize, the back of the head begins to return to its original state, causing a buildup of energy and a slight feeling of discomfort. This hypothesis might also be valid.
The facial expression seems to be related to the fullness of this energy. When the route from Ajna to Sushumna is blocked, the expression is relatively slightly dull, which is very noticeable when looking in the mirror.
Furthermore, I have always had a weaker aura (compared to my left arm) in my right arm from the shoulder down. However, when the Sushumna channel is activated, I feel the aura filling up to my right arm, suggesting that it contributes to the overall aura enhancement of the body, not just the Sushumna channel. It seems that the aura in the right arm becomes more robust when Sahasrara is activated, and the Sushumna channel is also activated through Ajna.
I breathe in energy (prana) from Ajna and its surroundings, but because my throat is not yet fully open, I feel a slight constriction when the energy (prana) passes through my throat. To address this, I take slightly deeper breaths to make it easier to open my throat. When the throat opens, the energy that was previously blocked and accumulated above the throat flows more forcefully downwards. By repeating this process, I can effectively draw energy from the area around Ajna, through the throat, and into the chest.
Although the Vishuddha channel in my throat has been somewhat open for some time, I have always been weak in the Vishuddha area. Therefore, while it is not completely open, it is open to some extent. By paying close attention and opening it with deep breaths, energy (prana) flows from the area around the head, through the throat, and forcefully into the chest and abdomen.
This can be done not only during meditation but also relatively often during normal daily activities, which seems to enrich energy in daily life.
When doing this, the various parts of the head also relax, so it is not just about drawing energy through the throat, but also about gradually relaxing each part of the head.
When going out, to maintain energy, Sahasrara is very delicate, but by exploring this robust Ajna channel, I feel that I can stably maintain energy during outings. Ideally, both this channel and Sahasrara should be fully opened to enrich energy, but it seems better to secure the Ajna channel first.
While opening Sahasrara leads to more energy and a more loving state, the Ajna channel alone is quite sufficient. Moreover, the center of the head was previously blocked, and the Ajna channel was not yet explored. Now that I think about it, I am surprised by how unstable my condition used to be, considering that I managed to open Sahasrara in that state.
Although Sahasrara has been opened to some extent, I feel that it will probably take a while before Sahasrara is fully opened and connected to higher dimensions. Therefore, I think it is better to focus on establishing the Ajna channel first.
Before fully opening Sahasrara, it seems better to solidify the foundation.
▪️When Sahasrara opens, other chakras are also activated.
According to Dr. Honzan's experience with Sahasrara, the following is stated:
"Since the Sahasrara chakra began to move and awaken, the lower chakras leading up to Sahasrara, and the abilities that arose from that awakening, gradually increased and deepened. At the same time, other chakras enhanced the dimension of that awakening, and chakras that were not yet fully awakened, such as Vishuddha and Anahata, gradually and steadily awakened. The Sahasrara itself also deepened and intensified its activity and dimension of awakening." (P211 of "Esoteric Yoga")
I also feel this. After initially reaching Sahasrara, I connected with the consciousness of creation, destruction, and maintenance in the inner chest. Then, that consciousness ascended again to Sahasrara, and after that, Purusha entered from Sahasrara to Anahata, and after re-establishing Ajna and Sushumna, it seems that I am repeatedly changing dimensions and raising to Sahasrara.
This is not just about spiritual concepts like Sahasrara or Chakras; it simply feels like my brain is working better.
I think that people who are quick-witted or have a good memory are born with certain qualities (of course, environment and study are also necessary), and that their Chakras are active from the beginning, and their Sushumna channels are well-aligned, which allows for better brain function. If that's the case, it makes sense that women are often said to be smarter, because men tend to have blocked Sushumna channels, while women naturally have the energy needed for childbirth, but men have less energy to begin with. Therefore, the amount of energy and the flow of energy within the body are directly related to brain activity, and men, on average, have less energy and less efficient energy flow than women, which is why many men have average intelligence. Women, on the other hand, are relatively full of energy and have good brain function, which allows them to be smart, study well, and this seems natural when you look at the energy.
If that's the case, it's possible that even someone born with a poor intellect could improve their intelligence by meditating and activating their brain through the Sushumna channel. Of course, the extent of the improvement may vary, but it might not be necessary to be overly pessimistic about having a poor intellect from birth. However, I myself am not as intelligent as I claim to be.
