When you reach a state of emotional bliss through the zones, and that emotional bliss stabilizes, you will eventually experience "peace."
This is one plateau and a point of arrival in the spiritual journey. The phrase "state of nothingness" refers to the state of "peace," and as a result, the meaning of "relaxing" is rediscovered through the "state of stopped thoughts (distractions)."
However, the "state of nothingness" is not a point of arrival either, and it can be hindered by a powerful force called the "Nada sound," which awakens consciousness. In reality, the "state of nothingness" is similar to the Zen meditation stage where Buddhism says, "you should not be at ease forever."
You start hearing the Nada sound from the beginning, but at a certain point, it becomes more frequent, preventing you from falling asleep or into nothingness during meditation. Although it felt like an obstacle at first, now I think that if I had stayed in such a peaceful state, I wouldn't have grown.
In my experience, after entering the "state of nothingness," the Nada sound became stronger, and the Kundalini began to awaken. Initially, the whole body was activated, but eventually, it became dominated by Manipura, and after breaking through the wall, it became dominated by Anahata, and then by Ajna.
After that, I reached a state of silence, but even that was not the end of the spiritual journey. The awareness of the Higher Self and Atman appeared, and it became a state of only gratitude and joy, but even that is not the end and continues.
Therefore, the "state of nothingness" and the "state of silence" are just one stage in the spiritual journey, and there is still further growth to be achieved.
