Spiritual excuses for maintaining the status quo.

There is a need to overcome this stage, but it is quite troublesome. They may try to justify their actions with seemingly logical arguments, or sometimes, they may argue against those who have pointed out their flaws, using justifications to maintain the status quo and portray themselves as "good people."

This is a kind of spiritual trap, but it is probably a path that everyone goes through. Initially, one enters through logic, and then, it becomes necessary to break through that logic. Therefore, if one remains at this stage, growth will be limited. However, this stage is not necessarily bad; it is an intermediate stage.

However, people in this intermediate stage often have seemingly well-reasoned arguments, and they do not accept criticism or feedback from others. Even if you point something out, they will simply justify themselves and behave as if they are wonderful people. Therefore, it is generally best to leave them alone. Pointing out their flaws is pointless, as they will simply use it for self-justification and to portray themselves as "good people," which ultimately leads to wasted effort.

This pattern of pointing out flaws that ultimately proves futile is common in spiritual contexts. The masses tend to embrace seemingly wonderful things, and if you voice dissent, you may even be ostracized by the masses. It is a thankless task.

For example, the phrase "you can do whatever you want" is a common mistake in spiritual circles. While this idea may seem correct in the context of Atman or Brahman, where everything is ultimately justified, we live in a relative world where concepts like good and bad, right and wrong, exist. When people are told "you can do whatever you want," the masses are happy, but it means "everything will manifest regardless of whether it is good or bad." If someone wishes for something bad, that reality will actually manifest, and someone, whether it be yourself or someone else, will suffer. What is wonderful about that? However, the masses do not think about it that deeply and simply embrace seemingly easy-to-understand opinions like "you can do whatever you want." As a result, the hellish aspects of the current world are created. However, there are also people who only experience the aspects that seem like heaven, and there are many secular spiritual techniques and excuses for inflicting hell on others while living in what appears to be heaven. These are classified as spells or rituals.

In reality, the hierarchy of good and bad, or good and evil, is a relative stage that needs to be overcome. However, it is difficult for others to point this out. People need to realize this stage themselves and overcome it in order to break free from this cycle of good and evil. However, there are people who will not listen to others, and it is difficult for them to overcome this.

I think there is a wall to jump from the relative stage of techniques, justifications, excuses, and spells to a stage beyond words. This wall is not easy to see, but the direction is quite simple. Because it is simple, it is often overlooked or taken for granted, but as it is said in the Yoga Sutra, it is to "empty the mind," which means to be free from thoughts and desires. However, at the stage before that, the ego (mind) self-justifies. When the mind is emptied and free from thoughts, the higher self's consciousness emerges, and the ego's self-justification no longer functions. The higher self's consciousness, which is beyond the ego's self-justification and its related logic, is what lies beyond the stage of self-justification. There is a leap there, but those who are spiritually self-justifying and continuing to turn away from the truth with logic such as "this is okay" are still at that relative stage. As a temporary goal, it is necessary to stop such self-justification and excuses, and as the mind becomes quiet and free from distractions, the pure consciousness (in the sense of yoga), which is the next level, appears. This pure consciousness initially appears as "something to be seen," but it also has an aspect of "action." It is a consciousness higher than the mind, and it has the aspects of "seeing" and "intending." There is no self-justification or excuse at that stage, there is simply consciousness. However, at that stage, you will no longer be able to communicate with those who are at a lower stage. Therefore, you will gradually stop talking.

The stage beyond words is difficult to express, and it is something that can only be said to "exist." It is not hidden or metaphorical, but it truly "exists" as it is, so I am saying that it "exists." The consciousness that exists universally and everywhere is truly as it is, but you will not notice it until you reach that stage. Or, before reaching that stage, it is just a theory or concept, and you cannot understand it. However, when you actually reach it, you will realize that consciousness exists in the space around you, even if it is not visible, and even if it seems like there is nothing in front of you, consciousness "exists." It is not a matter of noticing, but it simply "exists" as a matter of course (without having to consciously pay attention).

There is a need to break through to that level, but in many cases, it seems to remain at the stage of spirituality used for self-justification or excuses.
