Spiritual excuses for maintaining the status quo.

At this stage, it is necessary to overcome a certain hurdle. This is often a tricky situation, where people may try to justify their actions with seemingly logical arguments, or sometimes, they may counter those who point out their flaws with arguments that maintain the status quo, allowing them to rationalize their behavior and portray themselves as "good" people.

This is a kind of spiritual trap, and it is likely a path that everyone goes through. Initially, one starts with logic, but then they need to break through that logic. Therefore, if one remains at this stage, their growth will be limited. However, this stage is not necessarily a bad one; it is an intermediate stage.

Nevertheless, people at this intermediate stage often have seemingly well-reasoned arguments, and they are resistant to criticism or feedback. Even if you try to point something out, they will rationalize their behavior and portray themselves as wonderful people. Therefore, it is often best to simply leave them alone. It is a waste of time to point things out to these people, as they will simply use your feedback to rationalize their behavior and portray themselves as "good" people.

This pattern of pointing something out only to have it be futile is common in spirituality. People tend to gravitate towards seemingly wonderful things, and those who express dissent may be seen as enemies. This is a disadvantageous role.

For example, a common misconception in spirituality is the idea that "anything goes." However, while this may seem justifiable at higher levels like Atman or Brahman, we live in a relative world where concepts of good and evil, right and wrong, exist. While people may be happy to hear that "anything goes," it means that "anything can manifest," which means that if someone wishes for something bad, that bad thing may actually manifest, causing suffering to oneself or others. What is wonderful about that? However, people often do not think about this deeply and instead gravitate towards seemingly simple and easy-to-understand opinions. This is how the hellish aspects of the current world are created. However, there are also people who only experience the seemingly heavenly aspects, and there are many secular spiritual techniques and excuses that allow them to live in a "heaven" while inflicting "hell" on others. These are classified as spells or rituals.

In reality, the levels of good and evil, good and bad, are relative stages that need to be overcome. However, it is often difficult for others to point this out. People at this stage need to realize it themselves and break through it, but those who are resistant to feedback from others are unable to break free from this cycle of good and evil.

There seems to be a barrier between the relative stages of spells, justifications, excuses, and rituals, and a higher stage beyond words. This barrier is not always visible, but the direction is quite simple. It is often overlooked or taken for granted, but as mentioned in the Yoga Sutras, it is about "emptying the mind" and becoming free from thoughts. However, at the stage where excuses and justifications are used, the ego (mind) rationalizes itself. When the mind is emptied and free from thoughts, the higher self's consciousness emerges, and the ego's self-justification no longer functions. The stage beyond ego's self-justification and seemingly logical arguments is the higher self's consciousness, which is free from thoughts. There is a leap at that stage. However, those who are stuck in the relative stage and use self-justification and excuses to avoid the truth are simply remaining at that stage. As a starting point, it is important to stop using self-justification and excuses (by the mind), and as the mind becomes still and free from distractions, the pure consciousness (as spoken of in yoga) called Purusha (or Atman, consciousness) will emerge. This pure consciousness initially appears as "something to be seen," but it also has an aspect of "action." It is a consciousness that is higher than the mind, and it has the aspects of "seeing" and "intending." There are no excuses or self-justifications at that stage, only consciousness. However, at that stage, one's views will no longer align with those who are at earlier stages, and therefore, they will tend to talk less.

The stage beyond words is difficult to express, and it is something that can only be said to "exist." However, it is not hidden or a metaphor, but it truly "exists" in the literal sense, and that is why it is said to "exist."

The consciousness that exists everywhere and universally is, in fact, literally true, but until you reach that stage, you will not notice it. Or, before reaching that stage, it is simply a matter of logic, theory, or understanding. However, when you actually reach it, you realize that consciousness exists in the space around you, even if it is not visible, and even in the empty space in front of you that seems to be nothing but air. Or rather, you don't even need to realize it; what exists simply "exists," and naturally (without needing to be consciously aware of it), it simply "exists."

It is necessary to break through to such a stage, but in many cases, it seems to remain at the stage of spirituality that is used for self-justification or excuses.
