Resentment is not simply a matter of specific emotions remaining; it rarely involves deep thought. While it may allow for simple reactions and responses, advanced communication is impossible. Resentment can accumulate and manifest as a thought-form, possessing something akin to thought.

On the other hand, wandering spirits may or may not possess resentment. Their behavior can be similar to that of humans, and they may laugh or show joy, but they can also emit resentment.

In the case of wandering spirits that possess resentment, it can be difficult to distinguish them from simple resentment that is merely drifting.

Both can unexpectedly and seemingly randomly be perceived as thoughts or emotions. This is normal. For example, just as you perceive sounds and visual information while walking, you perceive thought-waves. These thought-waves are external to oneself, and while they may cause feelings of self-loathing, they are actually received in the same way as the thoughts of others.

The mind is merely a sensory organ, and it should be considered that the true self lies in something deeper than thoughts and emotions.
