In meditation, draw energy through the space between your eyebrows and your forehead, as if pulling it apart.
From the nasal root, I send a strong aura towards the space between the eyebrows and the forehead, gradually. At that time, I feel a sensation of something being peeled away from the area between the skin and the skull, as if energy is penetrating. This feels like trying to inflate a hard balloon, or like water flowing through a dry riverbed. Although the feeling of a dry riverbed is not as strong now, it used to be very dry, and now it's somewhat more open, although it wasn't always like that. Even so, the strong aura is not fully permeating, although it sometimes does, and by permeating it throughout, I activate the space between the eyebrows.
This mainly happens during meditation, but it can also happen outside of meditation. In everyday life, the space between my eyebrows is often stimulated, and aura accumulates there, and I sometimes feel that sensation of something being peeled away. Sometimes I don't pay attention to it, but sometimes I notice that the space between my eyebrows is constantly being stimulated.
In the past, this sensation would occasionally appear after meditation, or temporarily appear at certain times, or I would experience a similar sensation in the space between my eyebrows when I was near people who are generally considered to have psychic abilities. However, it wasn't something that happened regularly.
Basically, I send energy through the nasal root, but even there, it's not fully open. This energy then connects to the lower chakras (Manipura and Swadhisthana) and, from the nasal root, connects to the space between the eyebrows, which then connects to the heart (Anahata), activating the overall aura.
As a secondary effect, I sometimes feel like my nose has become slightly higher. It might be an illusion, but it's possible that this is because the nasal root and the back of the nose have become more relaxed and mobile. However, I haven't objectively measured it, so I'm not sure. If that's true, the fact that some people prefer people with high noses might actually have an energetic basis, as it could be linked to the activation of chakras. Even if it seems like they are choosing based on appearance, there might actually be an underlying energetic reason. The relationship between the height of the nose and energy is a hypothesis, but it's something that could potentially be true, at least as a tendency.
It is well known that the space between the eyebrows is related to the third eye chakra (Ajna), but there are different opinions about its location. The chakra itself is located within the body and the head, but the energetic flow points are located in both the front and back. The space between the eyebrows is the point that is most prominent in the front.
As mentioned in the diagram I shared recently, there is an energy route that runs from the center of the head (pineal gland, etc.) to the eyes, and another route that runs to the forehead. While I have felt some sensation from the route that runs to the forehead, it's still in the early stages. This is about the route that runs to the eyes.
Ideally, everything should be activated from the beginning, but it seems like there are stages involved.
Previous stages:
- Back of the head
- From the neck to the head
- Heart
- Lower abdomen, Dan Tian, Manipura, and Swadhisthana
Main topic:
1. From the nasal root to the space between the eyebrows (slightly separated from the center of the head)
2. From the space between the eyebrows to the forehead (connecting to the center of the head)
3. The area deep within the nasal root connects to the center of the head and is activated.
4. Activation of the forehead
5. An energy route runs from the center of the head to the forehead.
6. The nasal root, the space between the eyebrows, and the forehead are further activated, connected to the center of the head.
Future steps:
- Further reduce the stiffness of the epidermis on the forehead
- Further activation of the forehead as a whole
- Further activation of the top of the head
Although there are still challenges, I feel that the forehead has become much more relaxed and the energy has become more active compared to before.

Energy that causes the upper half of the back of the head to rise, even without meditation.
Even without sitting and meditating, I feel the flow of energy in my daily life. The lower half of the back of my head is not completely empty; it already has some energy flowing through it, so the issue is the upper half of the back of my head. In that area, energy gradually seeps in, like water flowing through a dry riverbed. I repeat this process. Even when I am quietly living my daily life, energy rises and that area gradually relaxes.
In conjunction with the upper part of the back of my head, the upper half of the head, including the areas near both ears, the temples, and the forehead, also becomes activated. The main focus is the upper half of the back of the head, but energy flows to those areas above the head in response.
Eventually, energy flows to the top of the head, activating it.

It is quite difficult to practice the Xiaozhou Tian diligently.
The "Xiao Zhou Tian" is a practice that involves circulating energy along the central axis of the body, from the lower abdomen, along the spine, up to the head, and then down the front of the chest and sometimes back to the lower abdomen. However, it seems that in some circles, this practice is often described as a beginner-level exercise. In reality, performing it in a way that truly circulates energy can be quite challenging and requires dedicated spiritual practice.
Even with some innate aptitude, one can, over time, meditate and gradually circulate a faint, almost imperceptible, flow of energy, creating the illusion of performing the practice. In many cases, people claim to be doing "Xiao Zhou Tian" simply by circulating such a faint energy flow.
However, since this practice is subjective, someone might claim to be circulating energy strongly, while in reality, they are only managing a weak flow. Conversely, someone might claim to be circulating energy weakly, while actually achieving a significant flow. Therefore, it is important to assess the actual energy circulation rather than relying on self-proclaimed levels. However, objectively quantifying this can be difficult.
Objectively, it is difficult to measure, but subjectively, one could say that if only a faint energy flow or a small ball of air is moving, it is still at a basic level. If a significant amount of energy is moving, it can be considered to be done reasonably well. However, in either case, this "Xiao Zhou Tian" is a foundation for subsequent stages of practice, so it is generally best to consider it a basic level even if a significant amount of energy is moving.
Some schools use terms like "Quan Zhou Tian" or "Da Zhou Tian." "Da Zhou Tian" is mentioned in various schools. However, if these terms are subjective, it is possible that what one person considers "Xiao Zhou Tian" might be closer to another person's "Da Zhou Tian." This depends on the context. In terms of circulating energy, whether it is called "Xiao Zhou Tian" or "Da Zhou Tian" is just a matter of terminology, and the most important thing is whether the energy is circulating properly. In that sense, there is not much difference between the two.
However, there is a difference in terms of expression and communication. If the general interpretation is that "Xiao Zhou Tian" refers to connecting the body with lines, "Quan Zhou Tian" refers to a general increase in energy throughout the body, and "Da Zhou Tian" refers to the circulation of a large amount of energy, then these terms can be used as a classification system. In this case, "Xiao Zhou Tian" is a relatively basic level and can be achieved fairly quickly.
On the other hand, some schools use the term "Xiao Zhou Tian" to refer to the circulation of a large amount of energy (which some schools might call "Da Zhou Tian"). In such cases, even "Xiao Zhou Tian" can be quite challenging.
Recently, I have been wondering if the term "Xiao Zhou Tian" originally referred to the circulation of a significant amount of energy. Perhaps, as the practice became more popular, more people started claiming to be doing "Xiao Zhou Tian" even when they were not actually achieving a significant energy flow, which led to the creation of higher-level terms.

When I do meditation using images, I tend to easily fall into a difficult state.
In the world, there are many methods that are touted as the best meditation. The promotional phrases usually say that they are "very fast."
In reality, it is easy to misunderstand meditation. This is because of a cognitive distortion and illusion caused by "feeling good." You temporarily feel good and become captivated by the image you create. This leads to the illusion that "you are able to meditate."
The spiritual world is also called the astral realm, and it is a world where thoughts can manifest reality. Therefore, if you imagine something during meditation, that reality will be created. And that makes you think that you are able to meditate.
When you read books about meditation, you often see things like "imagination interferes." When you read the explanation, you might think, "That's probably true," and it is easy to think, "I understand, I won't be like that."
However, in reality, most of the time you fall into the trap of imagination and feel like you are able to meditate.
This is especially true for beginners. It is quite normal for that to happen, so there is no need to worry about it. While some children might be able to do it from the beginning, most adults will find it difficult to meditate well right away.
At that time, the "best meditation" that uses images is promoted, and the power of imagination in the astral realm causes a certain manifestation of reality in that imaginary world. You feel like you are doing a great meditation, but its influence on this real society is very limited. It is not that there is no influence on the real world in the astral realm, but such influence is very weak, especially on the physical society. Therefore, if such "best meditation" is based on "imagination" in the astral realm, its influence is basically limited to that realm.
If it ended there, it would be fine. However, eventually, they will start seriously promoting things like "we are the best," "we are the only ones who know the correct teachings," and "other teachings take time, our teachings are the fastest." And that is how cults are born.
People who are not familiar with spirituality may hear this and sometimes start to believe that it is true. That is the birth of a cult member.
And so, the members of the cult increase.

Relax the forehead and the front of the top of the head through meditation.
Both are similar in a way, but they are also different in some aspects. Generally, the area is relaxed gradually, starting from the forehead, moving to the upper part of the forehead, and then to the front of the top of the head. By injecting energy into the area near the skin in sync with the breath, it gradually relaxes.
Relaxing the area behind the eyes through meditation.
I didn't specifically aim to do it, but during meditation, I naturally relaxed various areas, including the forehead, the front of the crown, the center of the head to the center of the crown, and the upper part of the back of the head. I wasn't consciously focusing on those specific areas, but rather, the energy was automatically flowing to those places. Suddenly, my awareness shifted to the area behind my eyes, and I felt a sensation of stretching, as if the muscles had suddenly extended, and the area behind my eyes seemed to stretch and relax simultaneously.
This isn't perfect, but compared to before, I feel that the area behind my eyes is more relaxed, and there's a slight feeling that my eyes are protruding forward, or perhaps not. That's what I perceive internally.
When I look in the mirror, it doesn't seem to have changed much. However, I do feel that my eyes might be slightly more prominent, or perhaps not. More than that, I feel that the shape of my eyes might have changed slightly, or perhaps not. It seems like my eyes might be a little more triangular than before, but it might just be for today, so I'll observe it.

Meditate on the front, back, left, and right of the forehead to allow energy to flow through.
From the back of the forehead to the front, and then, to the left and right of the eyes, and to the left and right of the forehead, and in all directions, I pass energy through the forehead to relax it.
Recently, I have been continuously passing energy through this area and its surrounding areas. By doing so, the entire body, not just the forehead, becomes activated. The forehead activates the energy route along the spine (the Sushumna in yoga), and the front of the face activates the lower body, including the abdomen (the Dan Tian, Manipura, etc.). This occurs because the area from the nasal root to the forehead becomes energetically thicker. As a result, consciousness becomes activated.
Compared to before, this area has become quite activated, but this area is still weak, and there are still challenges to overcome. However, I feel much more progress than before.

Loosen the area between the eyebrows by gently peeling away the adhesion in several steps.
While coordinating with your breath, relax your forehead to a certain extent. Once you reach a certain critical point, it will spread with a "mishimishi" sound, as if the adhesion is being pulled apart. Then, coordinate with your breath again and infuse your aura (prana), and continue to expand and relax.
Your eyes will widen, and the stiffness and tension on your forehead will be relieved. Although it is not yet perfect, you can definitely feel progress.
