During meditation, a "scale" in my right ear broke and crumbled.

Recently, the basic practice has been to meditate while feeling a "mishimishi" or "baki" sensation and sound, indicating a hardening in the center or upper part of the head. In addition, recently, the right side has been more active compared to the left, so I have been meditating while focusing on the energy pathways (nadis, in yoga terms) on the left side of the body, such as the shoulder, arm, or the upper and lower parts of the left cheek and chest.

Today, I was meditating in the same way, and suddenly, even though I wasn't particularly focusing on the right side, the energy pathway from the center of the head to the right ear suddenly activated, and I felt that the pathway had become thicker. The thick energy quickly reached the right ear, and it felt like the energy or blood flow to the right ear increased, causing pressure. Along with this, something that felt like scales or hardened skin, like a storage room, cracked and crumbled with a "baribari" sound.

This "baribari" sound is not as loud as thunder, but it felt like something that was hard was cracking and breaking. It might be considered a thunderous sound if it were larger and more powerful, but it wasn't that extreme.

Some ancient texts describe a "sound of thunder," so it's not entirely dissimilar.

At first, I thought it might be the eardrum, but since the eardrum is quite deep, I felt the sensation in a more superficial area. It's possible that a part of the skin was dry and hardened, and the pressure increased, causing the skin to stretch slightly, and that's why it felt like scales were cracking.

The next day, when I meditated, the energy seemed to be activated around the right ear, and I felt that the right ear was opening up well.

However, there hasn't been any significant manifestation of special abilities or anything like that. At least, it's certain that the energy pathway from the center of the head to the right ear has been strengthened.

Currently, the difference in balance between the left and right sides is a challenge, and I think the goal is to activate the left side more. However, descriptions of similar left-right imbalances can be found in ancient texts, so I think it's normal to have some differences.

For example, the "Hatha Yoga Pradipika" emphasizes the "right side," while a certain theosophical text mentions the "left side." Although they are different, perhaps the intention is to focus on the side that is already more active and strengthen the weaker side, or to further strengthen the side that is already strong. However, I interpret the basic principle as balancing the body by eliminating the left-right imbalance.

Actually, I originally had a weaker right shoulder and a stronger left side. Because of that, I focused on strengthening my right side for a while, and as a result, my right side became stronger. So, I plan to activate my left side more in the future.

However, for now, I think it's a good trend that the right side of my brain has become more active.
