There are many things said about wanting to improve meditation, achieve samadhi, or have mystical experiences. However, the foundation for achieving these things is to thoroughly concentrate and experience joy in your work, hobbies, or sports, to the point of entering "the zone." This is the foundation, and only after achieving this level of concentration can one truly speak of meditation or samadhi. If you have never entered "the zone," or only rarely experience it, then you are simply doing things that seem spiritual.
Before delving into spirituality, it is important to thoroughly engage in your work or hobbies, or even sports, to the point of entering "the zone" and experiencing joy. While there are inherent aptitudes for improvement, at the very least, you should be able to concentrate to the point of entering "the zone." This is the gateway to spirituality.
Therefore, if you truly want to delve deeply into spirituality, you must first master your daily life. This doesn't mean striving for perfection, but rather, wholeheartedly pursuing whatever you feel is important, whether it's work or a hobby.
This doesn't necessarily have to be related to spirituality, and even if it is part of a spiritual practice, the fundamental principle applies.
Until you reach a certain level, it is often easier to find time for things related to your daily work. For students, this could be studying or sports; for those who are working, it could be through their job.
Even if it is a secular activity, it can become the foundation of spirituality.
Those who seek quick gains or an easy life through spirituality are often misled. While such things may exist, they are typically achieved after experiencing the joy of entering "the zone."
Relying on others is a matter of trade. This world and the next are built on trade, and some people may even make deals with questionable spirits to gain worldly benefits. However, as stories and legends often tell, such dealings often lead to negative consequences for the individual, and it is best to avoid them. If you want to forge your own path in life, there is essentially only one way: to transcend "the zone" and open your own eyes.
When I say things like this, people who are spiritual and want quick, tangible benefits in this life may feel disillusioned. However, I think it's better for those people to experience disillusionment early on. Without a solid foundation, growth is not possible in reality. Even in spirituality, things don't change, and diligently working at a regular job in this life, and reaching a state of joy, is a respectable part of one's practice.
