Without a foundation of "zone of bliss" and "temporary state of stillness," even with practice or study, little to no change occurs. Understanding progresses, but surprisingly, no concrete changes happen. The most obvious example is Kundalini. Even the awakening of Ida and Pingala requires a certain degree of this foundation to manifest. This foundation may be something one is aware of, unaware of, or inherently possesses.
The state of stillness, even if not yet stable, involves focusing on something, becoming one with the object, and experiencing a temporary unity with the object in a state of Samadhi. This leads to the "zone of bliss." Without this foundation of the "zone of bliss," even with extensive study and practice, nothing usually happens.
During such periods of inactivity, one may misinterpret their own state, believing that they should be growing simply because they have practiced so much. The ego may try to justify itself by telling oneself, "I am growing," thus deceiving oneself and hindering further growth.
Words and explanations are strongly linked to three-dimensional concepts, so they may not always accurately express states beyond words. However, studying through words and logic strengthens one's mind and memory (Chitta in Yoga), which strengthens the ego (Ahankara in Yoga). This strengthened ego then becomes stubborn, concocts plausible arguments for self-justification, and hinders growth, creating a vicious cycle.
It is, of course, necessary to overcome this vicious cycle, but to overcome it, one needs the necessary foundation. Without that foundation, one cannot overcome it.
Therefore, while studying spirituality is good, it is first necessary to stabilize the foundational "zone of bliss." This does not necessarily require practice or spiritual study. Instead, it is beneficial to become so passionate about work or sports that one can enter the "zone of bliss" by focusing on the task at hand.
Such a "zone of bliss" becomes a foundation for spirituality. Even without studying spirituality, becoming proficient in something through focused effort will always be beneficial in work and personal life. In work, this will undoubtedly lead to results, and the foundation of life will also become stable. With this foundation established in both life and mind, repeatedly experiencing the "zone of bliss" will gradually purify emotional blockages and traumas, leading to a peaceful state of mind.
When entering the zone and connecting with a subject, one's deepest self is brought to the surface. This connection leads to a state of bliss, while simultaneously providing a clear understanding of the subject's information. However, connecting with one's deepest self also makes it easier for traumas to manifest. By exposing one's inner self and connecting with the subject, the mind is exposed, so it is necessary to be careful not to receive strong shocks from the surroundings. On the other hand, if the environment is right, this can be a good opportunity to confront one's own depths.
By repeatedly experiencing the joy of entering the zone, purification progresses, and only with this foundation can topics such as Kundalini energy be discussed.
