Some schools of thought say that gods and humans are incompatible, but in reality, gods and humans are quite the same. However, it is not as if humans automatically become gods without doing anything; it can be said that it is both true and not true, and it is a subtle relationship.

Humans begin to become one with gods after a certain degree of progress in the state of samadhi. Before that, they are separated. In reality, from a distant past to the present and future, humans and gods have never been separated. However, in the state of ordinary humans who have not done any training and cannot recognize gods, they are simply unable to recognize gods, but in reality, gods are always close to humans.

Some schools of thought deify gods and treat them as special, but originally, humans have the essence of gods within them; it is simply that the essence of that god has not yet manifested.

Theoretically, what Vedanta says is correct. However, in some Vedanta schools or among some people, there is a lack of understanding or experience in this area, and sometimes what they say does not make sense. Nevertheless, the basic logic of what Vedanta says is correct.

Based on the logic of Vedanta, by practicing yoga or Zen, or by engaging in meditation and zazen, humans will gradually understand or experience that their true nature is that of a god. This is not simply a matter of logic or understanding, but a change in one's inner self that manifests the essence of a god, which is also samadhi. By reaching samadhi, one comes to know the essence of a god.

In reality, there are stages in samadhi, but even if it is temporary, reaching samadhi will clear up all these logical aspects and eliminate confusion.

As long as humans think that they are separated from gods, they still need to practice or study. This is not just a matter of logic, but actually involves becoming one with the presence of god, including the heart, the entire body, and the surrounding "field," and being included in the existence of god, in order to understand these essences.

This begins with a small experience in the heart and gradually expands to samadhi. Gradually, this awareness in the heart spreads throughout the body, and eventually, the awareness of god spreads thinly over an area as large as a room or about ten meters.

The recognition of the self (so-called "jiva") as separate from God, and the addition of the recognition of "field," allows one to feel the presence of God.
