The unification of the state of stillness and gratitude.

In other words, it becomes a unification of concentration and observation. The state of stillness is concentration, and gratitude corresponds to observation. It may seem that stillness and concentration, and gratitude and observation are completely different topics, but in reality, these four are closely related, and each is related to concentration, stillness, observation, and gratitude.

In the world, there are sometimes arguments about whether meditation is concentration or observation, but (depending on the place, many people may not have heard of such things), in reality, both of them need to increase and become unified. Therefore, the "which one is it, concentration or observation?" kind of discussion is not very relevant, because both are important.

Personally, I think that concentration is the basic, followed by the state of stillness, then observation, and finally gratitude, but there may be some people who find it easier to start with love. That is up to each person.

In any case, I think that the point where these elements are combined and unified is probably the same, no matter which path you take.

If you have concentration as a foundation, you will reach a state of stillness, and from that stillness, observation will gradually appear, and as you begin to observe, it will become stable, and then love and gratitude will overflow.

Therefore, I personally think that it is difficult to simply say "let's love" from the beginning. Rather, it is better to proceed in order, starting with concentration. By concentrating, your awareness will increase, you will be able to do your work, you will feel fulfilled, and stress will decrease. As a result of this, the state of stillness will appear, your worries will decrease, and then, unexpectedly, the state of observation (vipassana) will begin, and as that becomes more stable, love and gratitude will overflow.

Indeed, love is important, as is commonly said in the world, but if you are asked to love or be grateful as an immediate action, it may simply be a superficial story, and it may even cover up your true self with superficial training. The essence of spirituality is to discover one's true self, so if you emphasize love and gratitude and end up covering yourself with the veil of training, it may be difficult to achieve spiritual growth. Of course, a certain amount of training and morality is necessary, but strictly training people who are not prepared can sometimes create false saints, or create people who are good on the surface but are inwardly a mass of jealousy and suddenly fall into darkness.

Love is important, but I feel that it is more suitable for the current era to focus on something and nurture it, and eventually reach a state of tranquility and love, rather than talking too much about love.
