When meditating, there are times when I feel the various parts of my head relaxing.
In yoga, it has long been said that nectar (amrita) arises from the "larana" within the mind, and I also feel a connection to that.
Occasionally, during periods of accelerated relaxation in the head, I experience a sensation where the aura of the entire body connects from the head down through the body. This thin, water-like, cold flow along the central axis seems to emerge simultaneously with this feeling, but it doesn't always occur together.
The "kechari mudra" is often associated with amrita. In classical texts (such as Hatha Yoga Pradipika), it is written that one must cut the root of the tongue, but in modern yoga, it usually involves simply lifting the tongue; by stimulating the "larana" or the ajna chakra in this way, a water-like substance flows from there through the sushumna nadi and permeates the body as a single line.
