Recently, the area in my head where I hear crackling sounds has been gradually changing. Lately, I've been experiencing crackling and popping sounds more often in the crown and frontal lobe. When the sounds aren't present, I hear a general "piki piki" sound, but the tendency seems to be shifting towards the crown and frontal lobe. A while ago, my frontal lobe loosened, causing a pulsating sensation. However, I understand that the pulsation was just the beginning, and now the loosening is becoming more pronounced.
This is because there's an energy route that extends from the ajna chakra (between the eyebrows) downwards, while another route extends from the back of the head to the crown. The route that runs from the front of the face, through the ajna, and down the spine to the anahata chakra (heart chakra) is known as the Sushumna in yoga. Now, in contrast to the Sushumna that descends along the spine, energy is flowing upwards from the anahata chakra in the chest, through the Vishuddha chakra (throat), and towards the back of the head. This influx of energy seems to push up the crown, and when that energy reaches the crown, I hear crackling and popping sounds. The same thing happens in the frontal lobe, which is located just in front of the crown. By slightly moving my mouth, the crown moves and loosens even more. Initially, the crackling sounds were mostly in the back of the crown, but now they're more towards the frontal lobe.
I'm hoping that the Sahasrara chakra (crown chakra) will open fully soon.
The sequence of events is as follows: First, the crown area near the back of the head started crackling, and after that stabilized, the crown area near the frontal lobe started crackling.
By the way, when I visited a certain shrine (Sata Shrine), I was "spoken to" by something (an unseen presence) in the back, near an old building site. It said, "You seem to be different. This (something in the chest area) shouldn't be here; it should be higher up." Then, I felt something move from my chest area towards my head, and I thought, "Okay, that's good." There was a presence that seemed to be helping me. Perhaps it was an ancient practitioner. It seemed to be standing on a high ground, watching the shrine from above.
Since then, the energy has been filling up more often, especially in the lower part of the back of the head. By simply focusing on the back of the head and slightly moving the back of my throat, the energy flows quite a bit towards the crown. Before, it took more time and meditation. Now, the energy is constantly filling up from the lower part of the back of the head, which is a bit different. I wonder if something was out of place. I am very grateful for the help from unseen presences.
In addition to that, I learned something else at another shrine (Yaehaki Shrine), which made it even easier. When I tried to walk past a very old cedar tree, I was told, "Come over here a little. You're interesting. Let me teach you (a simple practice)." I went over, and I learned how to move the crown. When I opened the back of my throat and slightly moved my jaw in time with my breath, the back of the crown moved vigorously. After doing it about 10 times, I was told, "Okay, do it 10 more times," and I practiced moving the crown vigorously. After that, I was told, "Okay, you can practice on your own now." When I was told that, I realized my mistake and tried it again, but it didn't work as well, and I was told, "Well, you'll need practice."
The task seems to be to fill the aura with energy in the route at the back of the head, fill the energy from the back of the head to the crown, and then move the crown vigorously to loosen and open it.
So, the crown area near the back of the head loosened in about 3-4 days, and now I'm working on loosening the crown area near the frontal lobe in the same way.
I've loosened the back of the head and the frontal lobe before, and I've heard crackling and vigorous sounds. Now, I'm going through the process again, and I'm loosening it even further. It seems that even after loosening, there's a balance, so the loosening process alternates between different areas.
Currently, the lower part of the head is quite loose, the back of the head is also quite loose, the middle of the head is not completely loose and sometimes gets blocked, but it quickly clears up when I meditate and hear a "pop," so it's not a big problem. The frontal lobe was quite loose once before, but now I'm loosening it again. My current focus is on the frontal lobe.
The Sahasrara chakra in the crown seems to be starting to open, but it's not fully open yet. The activation in my head has been continuing for a while, and it seems to be taking a long time. However, there are definitely changes, so I feel like it's just a matter of time before the Sahasrara chakra opens completely.
