I respect materialists because they live honestly, even if they are somewhat dull, but I do not engage with them.

In any case, materialists tend to deny spiritual matters, but they are simply dull. From a spiritual perspective, it is best to ignore them without concern (as long as they do not cause harm to oneself). Materialists should be free to do as they please, but they should not impose their views on others, belittle those who do not share their views, or harass others by using materialism.

Judging things that cannot be perceived by the eyes as "non-existent" is materialistic. Materialists claim that this is scientific, but in reality, it is incorrect to say "non-existent" from a scientific perspective. Scientifically, things that cannot be perceived are judged as "possibly existing or possibly not existing." However, materialists judge things they cannot perceive as "non-existent," which is fundamentally incorrect from a scientific standpoint.

Materialists often use the word "scientific," but true science does not deny things that have not yet been perceived. It is simply unknown.

In fact, the "science" that materialists talk about is completely the opposite of what true scientists mean by "science."

For scientists, "reality" comes first. They first affirm and accept reality. Then, they "observe" and accumulate theories, experiments, and data to derive general laws that say "it is like this." Only after being verified does something become a theory. However, even before becoming a theory, "reality" exists.

On the other hand, the "science" that materialists talk about is completely the opposite. They deny reality and say that anything other than what is recognized as "science" does not exist.

This means that even though they use the same word "science," the meaning is completely different.

True scientists are very cautious and do not easily assert that something "does not exist." This is because proving "existence" requires only one example, while proving "non-existence" requires completely covering all possibilities and proving that there is absolutely no possibility, which is very difficult in reality, especially in fields like physics. Therefore, those who understand this do not easily say "non-existent."

There are still some materialists, even among university professors in Japan, who say "it doesn't exist," and I had a professor at my university who said that. On the other hand, there are also realistic scientists who explain what science is properly. Since there are various types of scientists, it's understandable that the general public misunderstands what "science" is. Materialists may think "it doesn't exist" because they are slow-witted and cannot comprehend it, but they are unwilling to consider the possibility that they are simply unable to comprehend it, or they lack the maturity to accept this harsh reality.

No matter how much you explain these complicated things, materialists will often yell, laugh, or look down on you. Therefore, it's generally better to avoid interacting with such people. I have spoken with many people who make similar claims, but they invariably end up saying something like, "Haha. What nonsensical things are you talking about? You're a clueless idiot," in a condescending tone, and they try to deny everything emotionally and dismissively, which makes it mostly pointless to talk to them.

Generally, materialists have inflated egos and are extremely sensitive to being hurt. They hysterically reject the possibility that their perceptions might be changed by others, so talking to them is usually pointless and a waste of effort. It's better to simply avoid them.

This is also mentioned in Buddhism and yoga: "Do not associate with immoral people." This is not a denial. If there is no connection, then just leave them alone.

Materialists are simply slow-witted, so they may eventually realize it and change their views. However, for now, it's best to avoid interacting with them.

However, you shouldn't think that you are superior to materialists. Just don't be interested in them. This is not a matter of superiority or inferiority. It's not about which one is superior or inferior.

Since they cannot comprehend it, the materialist world is the truth for them. In a sense, they are being honest. It's good to be honest. People who live honestly in the world they can comprehend should be left alone as long as they don't cause harm to us.

This is a story about simply avoiding interaction with others, without making judgments or evaluations about whether they are good or bad, and without making such judgments or evaluations about others ourselves.
