When a structure similar to what is called projection in psychoanalysis is combined with low self-esteem, it leads to a negative view of the surrounding environment.

As a result, people on the left tend to project their low self-esteem onto the environment, politics, history, and everything else, and spread dissatisfaction with the surrounding environment.

This kind of projection is particularly noticeable in young people, and it is related to their low self-esteem. As people get older and their self-esteem increases, their dissatisfaction with the surroundings naturally diminishes. Even though the environment has not changed, they tend to express dissatisfaction with the surrounding environment much less (although not completely).

The psychological phenomenon of projection is well-known, and in psychology, it is known as an "action." From a yogic perspective, it is because one's own self is not purified and has impurities, so the surroundings seen in the mirror of oneself appear distorted, and one expresses dissatisfaction with the surroundings. In reality, the one who is dirty is oneself.

Therefore, while there is a certain degree of understanding for young people who engage in environmental activities or left-wing activities due to their low self-esteem, it is embarrassing for people to continue such activities as they get older. There is a reason for this in the psychological mechanisms involved.

The reason why people on the left often have internal conflicts is ultimately because they are seeing their own problems in the surroundings. Each person sees something different, and even when looking at the same environment, they project their own impure aspects onto the surroundings. Therefore, even when looking at the same thing, opinions are divided, and ultimately, these individual problems cannot be resolved, and it is very difficult to unite them through logic. It requires "power" to unite such "individuals (projected onto the environment)."

Although they may appear the same, the methods and state of affairs of people on the left and conservatives are quite different. People on the left tend to have a somewhat similar but somewhat different basic ideology due to the function of projection, and they repeat divisions. On the other hand, conservatives try to see things "as they are," and conservatives aim to solve problems by purifying themselves and seeing things as they are.

Therefore, people on the left often claim "conservatives are too simplistic (and therefore outdated, unlike us)," while conservatives value fundamental purity and traditions passed down from ancient times.

When you delve into the root of these surface-level phenomena, conservatives, while certainly valuing the historical connection, primarily focus on returning to the original, inherent nature of humanity. In contrast, people on the left, as mentioned above, project their own problems and conflicts onto their surroundings (in psychological terms), thereby perceiving problems in every environment. The problem, of course, lies within themselves (the people on the left), and it may not necessarily be a problem with the surrounding environment. Because people on the left cannot recognize the difference between themselves and their surroundings, they tend to view themselves and the environment as one, and while there may genuinely be problems with the environment, they tend to connect those problems with their own.

While it is not impossible for people on the left and conservatives to cooperate on issues related to the actual environment, it is better to avoid interacting with people on the left because they tend to project their personal problems onto their surroundings, accuse the environment of being the problem, and misinterpret the essence of the issue.

If you truly want to improve the environment and so on, it is important to first purify oneself and achieve a state of purity, and then, to the extent possible (even if it is not perfect), suppress the projection of one's own feelings onto the environment. Only then can one truly see the environment as it is.

Alternatively, there is a method of revealing the true state based on data, without the need for self-purification. This is a common analytical method, and by performing that analysis, one may discover things that one has been misinterpreting due to projection.

Regardless of the method, if one seeks the truth, short-sighted activities by people on the left, whether in politics, culture, or economics, are ultimately caused by low self-esteem. For example, this is reflected in the media's criticism of Japan. The media's criticism of Japan is not necessarily intentional, but rather, a certain percentage of the people who write those articles, the companies they work for, and those involved, project their low self-esteem onto the environment, resulting in the spread of negative articles such as "Japan is..." This is not the true state of affairs, but rather, it reflects the low self-esteem of the person who wrote it, and reading such articles has little value.

The activities of leftist movements are, in the end, like that. However, even so, if the public becomes interested, they can gain the power to overthrow the government, like the French Revolution, and at times, they can be dangerous to society. Those who benefit from such instigation are the masterminds behind it, the ones who wrote the scenario. A while ago, it seemed that the main purpose was to sell Japan to a communist country, and that a traitor would emerge after the government was overthrown, becoming the main player in the government (like the leaders of communist countries around the world) and monopolizing wealth. It is a very sad story that people are manipulated for such trivial personal purposes. If you don't carefully discern things, you may end up in a situation like the French Revolution, where it is unnecessary, only benefits someone, and in the end, people's lives don't change, and only the king is gone. Therefore, even if the essence is trivial, we must be careful of this type of instigation, and we need to take some action against it, such as suppressing it, silencing it, or refuting it.
