In yoga, it is said that the Ajna chakra (third eye chakra) and the Muladhara chakra (base chakra) are directly connected, and that any change that occurs in one will inevitably occur in the other. (From "Mikkyo Yoga," p. 160)
In fact, I have known this information for a long time, but I have not really felt it until recently. Even when I read such descriptions, I would think, "Oh, is that so? Is that how it is?"
In recent meditations, I have focused on the Ajna chakra, and as the aura enters the area around the Ajna chakra, the center of the head, or the Sahasrara, I feel that the area around the Muladhara chakra becomes activated, as if it is pulsating. Not only the Muladhara chakra, but also the Swadhisthana (sacral chakra) is activated, and I feel the aura flowing between them.
Energy fills the center of the body, and I feel that the upper half of the head and the perineum (base chakra, Muladhara) are connected, and that when the upper part is activated, the lower part is also activated. This is described as "connected" in the same book, but the feeling is that the upper and lower parts are relatively individual, and that the sensation of the body in between is not as strong, and that the areas of the head and perineum are resonating with each other.
In reality, they are probably properly connected, and I also feel the energy filling the body, but I still think that, like when waves occur in a pool, only the edges have a lot of splashing, and that while only the edges react noticeably, the waves are probably also reaching the middle.
