The location of the "mishimishi" (creaking) and "baki" (cracking) sounds has changed again, and now I often experience those sounds and sensations in the crown area. About a week ago, it was happening near the center of my head.
The specific areas where these sensations occur are constantly changing, and it seems that the degree of looseness also affects whether or not there is significant movement.
I've experienced this several times before, and I've also felt the "mishimishi" and "baki" sensations in the crown area. However, previously, the "mishimishi" sounds were associated with areas that didn't move much, and sometimes there was a noticeable "baki" sound with movement.
Now, even when I hear the "mishimishi" sound, it's often accompanied by some movement, and it seems that the "baki" sound is also related to the movement of smaller areas.
So, in terms of intensity, the "baki" sound used to be stronger, but since it's loosened somewhat, even though there are still some stiff areas, I think it's making "mishimishi" and "baki" sounds in those specific areas.
The focus point during meditation hasn't changed much, and it's generally the area between the eyebrows. However, even with the same focus point, previously the center of my head would "mishimishi" and "baki," but now it's happening in the crown area.
Even though the basic focus is the area between the eyebrows, there are times when certain areas don't loosen easily, so I consciously focus my attention on those areas for a while, which can make them loosen more easily. I do this occasionally.
In that state, while focusing on the area between the eyebrows as a basic practice, I'm also occasionally shifting my awareness to the crown area to help loosen it, as it's moving quite a bit.
