Previously, it seemed like there was a relatively large change that led to a state of stillness, but recently, especially in the past year, it feels like I'm gradually reaching that state of stillness. Lately, the stages have become even more subtle, and I feel that each part of my body is changing little by little during meditation, and that part is becoming a focal point of stillness.
This can also be called a state of stillness, or, to put it another way, it can be said that the tamas, or the murky, unpurified aura, of that part is being purified and cleared. I think it's essentially the same thing, just different ways of saying it.
Previously, the state felt like "a dammed river suddenly bursting forth," whereas now, it feels more like "water gradually flowing onto a flat, dry land and spreading to every corner," or "filling a rice paddy (during the farming season) with water and filling it completely." In the past, there was something blocking the flow of energy, and once that was overcome, I reached a state of stillness. Now, that's almost gone, so I feel that energy is gradually reaching each part of my body.
While the goal of filling the body with energy is the same as before, it used to require a lot of strength and time, but now, it feels like energy reaches every part in a relatively short amount of time.
The main energy channel, the Sushumna, runs along the spine, but it extends from the area around the head, through the "half-step" at the back of the head, to the Sahasrara at the crown of the head. Lately, I've been feeling that the "half-step" area is becoming more open, so I feel that the energy flow has become less obstructed there.
Previously, when energy passed through the "half-step," it would get stuck or blocked, and it was often difficult or time-consuming to try to pass energy upwards through that area during meditation. However, recently, even if the flow isn't good at the beginning of meditation, energy tends to flow properly through the "half-step" area relatively quickly, and the energy flow in the "half-step" area has become quite stable.
Regarding the good and bad aspects of energy flow, I've gone through similar stages of blockage and release in the past, such as in the Manipura area or the throat area. So, I feel that this is probably a similar stage. Initially, there is no energy pathway at all, and although it may have existed when I was a child, it is currently blocked, and there are various possible causes for this, such as the daily life, habits, or environment of this world. However, even initially, the awakening of Kundalini is the starting point, but the energy pathways tend to be blocked at first, and the process of repeatedly trying to open them and then getting blocked again eventually leads to stability. I've gone through this process in various parts of the body, and most parts are now almost stable, with only minor adjustments needed. However, the "half-step" area at the back of the head still has some blockages, but it seems to be relatively stable compared to before. When these blockages are released, if they are heavily blocked, it leads to a sudden change and a state of stillness. However, if they are not so blocked, it seems that the state of stillness deepens gradually, little by little, in each part.
