Mantras and focused meditation are less effective than saying "thank you."

Gratitude meditation has a remarkably high effect compared to other meditation techniques, such as focused meditation on the space between the eyebrows, which may take several hours or days to show effects, or mantra meditation, which also takes time to produce results. In fact, simply repeating "thank you" during seated meditation is often more effective.

However, the effectiveness of gratitude meditation depends on the level of one's own purification. If one's purification is not advanced enough, it may be difficult to continue expressing gratitude for a long time.

The effects of gratitude meditation can be so strong that each expression of gratitude triggers reactions throughout the body, causing discomfort or the release of negative energy. While overcoming this discomfort can lead to a feeling of refreshment, those with a large accumulation of negative energy may find it difficult to reach that point, which means it takes time.

If not practiced in a seated position, the effects may not be as pronounced. Simply expressing gratitude in everyday life may result in empty words. However, when practicing gratitude meditation in a seated position, focusing on the heart, the negative energy clinging to the body reacts, causing a gradual, tingling sensation. If there is an excessive accumulation of negative energy, it can become unbearable, but this is part of the purification process.

Therefore, while it is good to try gratitude meditation from the beginning, the effects can be so strong that too much negative energy is released, causing discomfort. It may be better to express gratitude without focusing too much and without causing discomfort. Alternatively, if one feels that the practice is not resonating deeply, or if one is not yet ready, it may be better to postpone gratitude meditation.

In such cases, focused meditation or mantra meditation may be more suitable, as they are more basic forms of meditation. Focusing on the space between the eyebrows or chanting a mantra can also produce results over time.

As one progresses towards a state of stillness and the awareness of the higher self begins to emerge, gratitude meditation becomes particularly effective. Even at this stage, one may sometimes encounter chaotic and unpleasant experiences in daily life. In such cases, while focused meditation and purification can be helpful, simply repeating "thank you" may be more effective in purifying the energy.
