Do not forget the banner of justice.

From my current life's perspective, I don't have many opportunities to make such choices, and I'm living a fairly ordinary life. However, when I trace the memories of the group soul, I feel that if one forgets the banner of justice, it will be deeply etched in the soul's memory as "regret" and "shame."

In stories like this, people living in the modern era often justify individual desires, but even in those cases, prioritizing personal gain can lead to regret being etched into the soul's memory for hundreds, or even longer, periods.

Well, this may vary from person to person, and perhaps those who truly believe that desires are good may not experience any regret at all. However, at least within my knowledge, actions based on individual desires seem to be accompanied by regret.

I have a memory within the group soul of being a shopkeeper and tavern owner in a small shop in Paris a few hundred years ago. This is not my direct past life, but it is a memory that remains as part of the group soul.

According to that story, the time was just before the French Revolution. Prices were gradually rising, and people were going out into the streets, repeating criticisms of the monarchy. The shopkeeper was in such a situation, but being a shopkeeper meant he was slightly more financially secure than the general public, and he may not have been as passionate about the revolution as those around him.

A close customer went out into the streets and talked about the monarchy and the future, and the criticism of the monarchy increased, leading to the revolution. However, behind this was the instability of the foundation of daily life due to the inflation of goods and the stagnation of wages.

Every day, prices were gradually rising, but at a certain point, the price increases became even more rapid.

The original price increases were mainly due to the rising wholesale prices of the wholesalers who were bringing in goods from outside the town, which was considered to be somewhat unavoidable.

Then, among the town's merchants, there was a discussion that they had to increase their profits to ensure their own business survival. This was to some extent a natural thing, but at this point, the merchants increased prices even more than what was considered appropriate, prioritizing their own self-preservation. He was the one who actively promoted this and summarized the merchants' discussions.

As a result, the prices of general goods in Paris rose further, causing hardship for the general public. This, of course, was not the only factor, but it seems to have been a trigger for the French Revolution. When the general public is threatened with the basic necessities of life, they will react.

At that time, he prioritized his personal gain over the mission of providing food to the people of Paris. It was a form of self-preservation, and it may have been the correct behavior for a merchant, but it caused hardship for the people of Paris.

Furthermore, it is said that in a previous life, he was a mathematician and educator who suffered a lot with money, and that this was a reaction in his life as a merchant in Paris. However, even so, the fact that he actually caused food shortages and hardship for the people of Paris is deeply etched in the soul's memory.

Tracing the memories of the group soul, I realize that the banner of justice must not be forgotten. This is also a reflection, and there are many such reflections in this life, but those reflections are not limited to a single generation, but sometimes remain for a long time.

By the way, I haven't researched the historical facts of the story about the merchants behind the French Revolution, so I don't know if it's true, but there are rumors that there was a collusion among merchants.
