This is a story I heard from someone. I don't know if it's true.
A long time ago, this person participated in a magical ritual with a large group of people. The details are a secret, but it seems the ritual was intended to invoke the Egyptian goddess Isis and foster love.
The person didn't know the ritual itself, but they were part of the group. The ritual began after preparations like drawing magic circles and performing summoning rituals. The person was called to the venue.
They were instructed to repeat certain words, and one of those words represented a bright, shining light. However, when the person tried to repeat it, they unconsciously echoed it with a different word, a spiritual word that normal ears couldn't hear. They couldn't write down the specific word because it would attract the opposite to the reader, but it was a very simple word, not particularly difficult, and although it was a normal word, it resonated as if it were a spiritual word.
The person wondered, "What is this?" but the people performing the ritual continued as if nothing was wrong. Then, when it was time to invoke Isis, a dark, hazy shadow appeared in the air. The person saw what looked like a goat's head, with horns that seemed to rotate.
During the ritual, the person didn't think much of it, but later they realized that the goat's head was likely a demon, and they were shocked.
The ritual included a step where participants, both men and women, would hug each other. The person participated in this hug, but it was unintentional. They had a pen in their breast pocket, which caused a slight discomfort during the hug. A staff member noticed this and instructed the person to "put your chest closer," but even then, the pen and the height difference prevented their chests from fully touching.
The idea of invoking a demon while performing an Isis ritual, and channeling energy through the heart, is a frightening thought. The person was lucky that their heart was protected by the pen, but it seemed that some people around them felt unwell.
The person had once visited the island where the temple of Isis was located in northern Egypt. They were fascinated by the energy and the feeling of love and acceptance that they felt there, and they grew to love Isis. However, the energy of the Isis that was invoked during the ritual was completely different, a heavy, dark energy that felt more like a demon than a goddess. This is just the person's personal opinion, and the truth is unknown.
When researching the goat's head, the demon Baphomet immediately appeared. While considered a demon, some traditions view it as a legitimate god, and it is even worshipped as a god in some magical traditions. If the people performing the ritual were part of such a tradition, they might have considered it a legitimate god, and it might have made sense to them.
Regardless of whether it was a god or a demon, the person was certain that it was not Isis based on its energy. It's unclear whether this was a result of a successful or failed ritual. At least, the ritual proceeded smoothly and quietly, and the instructions for the hug after invoking Isis were given in a planned manner, so there was no sense that anything had gone wrong. Therefore, it's likely that they were invoking something they believed to be Isis.
...
That's the story I heard.
It's difficult to determine what is a god and what is a demon, as entities considered demons may actually be benevolent, and people's interpretations can often be wrong. While it's a matter of personal freedom to interpret something as good or bad within a particular tradition, the important thing is to determine which energy to trust. No matter how much one tries to justify it with words or logic, the energy remains the same. Whether something is a god or a demon is unknown, but if the energy is good, then it is a good entity, and vice versa.
It seems that rituals to summon deities, especially high-level deities like Isis, are not easily successful. Even if the individuals involved believe they have succeeded, they may often be summoning lower-level demons.
Ordinary people may perform summoning rituals in search of "power," but those on the other side are far more intelligent than humans. Therefore, even if humans believe they are controlling angels or demons, in reality, they are often being manipulated by those entities. Such exercises of "power" are almost impossible for humans to counter.
Even if one can wield power during their lifetime, if they have incurred the wrath of unseen entities, they are particularly vulnerable immediately after death. At that time, they may be attacked by demons. The saying that those who sell their souls to demons or make contracts with demons must be used by demons after death seems to be largely true. The old saying that those who summon demons or angels and gain power become arrogant and drown in that power seems to be correct.
Entities from the other world can change their appearance at will. Therefore, what appears to be an angel may actually be a demon, and someone who makes a contract to gain power may be used by the demon after death. Even if individuals believe they are safe, demons are more cunning, and it is better not to think that humans can control angels or demons with their knowledge.
In my opinion, angels and demons are not meant to be controlled. The basic approach should be to request things based on trust, as an extension of normal human relationships. Trying to force them to obey through magic or other means is a coercive relationship based on power, which is not admirable. Even if one thinks they are controlling something, they are often being manipulated.
