There are far too many people who think the opposite.
Many people believe that being able to read other people's minds is a spiritually amazing ability, and that it becomes a criterion for evaluation. However, even if the astral auras of emotions are unified, the true nature is not understood. Even if the "karana" (causal body, cause body) that becomes the cause of things is unified, only the unification of karma and a series of rebirths occur, and it does not necessarily lead to a new understanding (as a whole of both auras), but simply shares an understanding.
Moreover, since that understanding lacks a foundation, the process of understanding is often missing, and in that case, a fundamental understanding cannot be achieved.
Even if you can read other people's minds at that level, it is of little meaning, and at best, it can only surprise spiritual beginners, and it is far from a fundamental understanding.
What can be known through these methods is only superficial feelings and fragmentary thoughts. It may help to elicit empathy or assist in analysis, but it can only be a supplementary tool. Despite being only that, as a side effect, it can lead to a unification with the other person's emotions and karma, which can drag on reincarnation, which is a very poor cost-performance ratio.
Basically, except for family and people you are close to and trust, there is no need to unify auras. Moreover, since you don't even know what kind of person an outsider is, it is better not to easily exchange or unify auras.
The basic principle is to stabilize the aura, which is the first step in spirituality. However, when the aura becomes scattered and unstable, leading to a state of spiritual possession, you may find out the feelings of others through aura unification, and you may think that you are spiritually superior, but that is simply a misunderstanding.
