Without the premise that this world and the next world are the same, it is difficult to understand what enlightenment is.

I have a lot of confusion regarding the concept of enlightenment, and I don't quite understand what enlightenment without any prerequisites is.

Because, when a person dies, their physical body disappears, and their spirit continues on, but if we consider the change in perception that occurs through death as enlightenment, then it becomes a question of whether one can achieve enlightenment by dying.

What changes through death is the ability to transcend time and be freed from physical constraints. Even though this is a significant change, there isn't much difference between being alive and being dead in terms of one's mental state.

People who are happy while alive tend to remain happy even after death, and vice versa.

While alive, people are limited by physical and material constraints, such as housing and finances. However, after death, one doesn't need money, and housing can be imagined and materialized effortlessly, so one can essentially take care of themselves without being constrained by material possessions.

Therefore, there is no need to live with people or partners that one was forced to associate with or cohabitate with while alive. The ideal situation would be a marriage where one wants to stay together even after death.

That being said, life continues after death, and certain perceptions and abilities become available to everyone to some extent. While this may seem like a supernatural ability to living humans, in the world after death, which I hesitate to call the afterlife, these abilities are quite common.

Therefore, even if one develops spiritual abilities in this world, they may find that they are quite ordinary after death, and think, "So that's what it is."

Abilities such as materialization, teleportation, and levitation require considerable training to be demonstrated on Earth, and they may be beneficial as part of the path to enlightenment. However, these abilities themselves are not enlightenment.

These are essentially "techniques" belonging to the mental, astral, and spiritual realms, and they are not fundamentally related to enlightenment.

Just as a living person can build a huge structure by combining many materials, which may be a symbol of self-aggrandizement, one can materialize things or levitate them using spiritual abilities. This is not much different from building a huge structure in this world.

If this is done purely as a practice for enlightenment, it may be beneficial, but if it is done to satisfy one's ego, it is no longer on the path to enlightenment.

Just as one can do professional work in the material world, one can also do professional work using spiritual abilities. In a fundamental sense, there is not much difference between doing professional work in the material dimension and doing professional work in the spiritual dimension, and both can be highly spiritual activities.

As we look at this, we gradually realize that there is not much difference between a living person and a person after death.

Both create, engage in activities, serve others, and are helped by others, although the objects, methods, and results may be different.

Once one understands that what is possible in the afterlife is not enlightenment, one then asks, "What exactly is enlightenment?"

If what can be achieved in the afterlife is not enlightenment, then there must be something that is not yet achieved even in the afterlife.

Enlightenment has different stages, and the ability to transcend time and space, as well as the ability to materialize, are not necessarily something that everyone can do after death. Therefore, it can be said that being able to do these things is one stage of enlightenment. This involves a spirit existing independently and being able to move freely through time and space.

However, this is simply a spirit existing independently, and it is still an individual existence. Spirits create fragments of themselves, and they may merge with the group soul from which they separated. However, this is more of a separation and merging of spirits than enlightenment. Sometimes, the group soul is enlightened, but the consciousness of the separated spirit may be tainted. In such cases, merging with the group soul or receiving another fragment can bring one closer to enlightenment, but fundamentally, it is just a matter of merging and separating fragments, and there is a difference between which is closer to enlightenment. Therefore, the merging and separation of fragments themselves are not fundamentally related to enlightenment; it is simply a matter of merging or separating.

Then, what is enlightenment? It is about whether you understand the essence, or whether you comprehend it. It is not just a matter of the mind; it is about whether your spirit understands it and is connected to the source. In essence, it has nothing to do with ability, but only with whether you are connected to the source.

Of course, if you achieve that, abilities will emerge. However, the abilities that emerge are not based on previous techniques, but you will be able to move this world with incredible ease. The range within which you can move things becomes the depth of enlightenment. Initially, you can move yourself freely, and gradually, your consciousness expands to your surroundings, then to the region, the country, and the planet. However, as it expands, you tend to see things in a broader sense, so separation is necessary to see things in detail. Each individual spirit separates itself for this purpose and experiences this world.

However, if separation lasts for a long time, you will forget your source. Therefore, returning to the source is enlightenment, and the role of humans living now is to live in this world while understanding the source.
