During meditation, a "scale" in my right ear broke and crumbled.

Recently, the basic practice has been to meditate while feeling a "mishimishi" or "baki" sensation and sound, which indicates a hardening in the center or upper part of the head. In addition, recently, the right side has been more active compared to the left, so I have been meditating while focusing on the energy pathways (nadis, in yoga terms) on the left side of the body, such as the shoulder, arm, or the upper and lower parts of the left cheek and chest.

Today, I was meditating in the same way, and suddenly, even though I wasn't particularly focusing on the right side, the energy pathway from the center of the head to the right ear suddenly activated, and I felt that the pathway had become thicker. The thick energy then quickly reached the right ear, and it felt like the energy or blood flow to the right ear increased, causing pressure. At the same time, something that felt like scales or something that had been hardened, like skin or a storage room, cracked and crumbled with a "baribari" sensation and sound.

This "baribari" sound is not as loud as thunder, but it felt like something that was hard was cracking and breaking. It might be considered a thunderous sound if it were larger and more powerful, but it wasn't that strong.

There are descriptions in ancient texts such as "the sound of thunder," so it's not entirely dissimilar.

At first, I thought it might be the eardrum, but since the eardrum is quite deep, I felt the sensation in a more superficial area. It seems that a part of the skin had become dry and hardened, and the pressure increased, causing the skin to stretch slightly, and that's how the sensation of scales cracking occurred.

The next day, when I meditated, the energy seemed to be activated around the right ear, and I felt that the right ear was opening well.

However, there hasn't been any particularly amazing ability that emerged, but at least it's certain that the energy pathway in the head, from the center to the right ear, has been strengthened.

Currently, there is a difference in balance between the left and right sides, so my current goal is to activate the left side more. However, descriptions of such left-right differences occasionally appear in ancient texts, so I think it's normal to have some differences.

For example, the "Hatha Yoga Pradipika" emphasizes the "right side," while a certain book in the Theosophy system mentions the "left side." Although they are different, I think it's probably because there is a side that is originally more active, and the intention is to strengthen the weaker side or further strengthen the side that is already strong. However, I interpret the basic principle as balancing the body by eliminating the left-right difference.

Actually, I originally had a weaker right shoulder and a stronger left side. Because of that, I focused on strengthening my right side for a while, and as a result, my right side became stronger. So, I plan to activate my left side more in the future.

However, for now, I think it's a good trend that the right side of my brain has become more active.
