The nostalgic old book "The Awakening of the Light Body" describes the levels of the light body, and mentions the pineal gland and pituitary gland in level 8.
Normally, the pineal gland and pituitary gland, which are about the size of green peas, begin to grow and change shape. (omitted) You may or may not experience headaches. (omitted) Some people experience a mild headache for about a month. Others prefer to experience a severe headache that passes quickly, within 24 hours. Because there is a point where the brain is literally "growing" during this process, (omitted) your brain is growing. Some people may experience skull expansion.
In reality, this kind of change has been happening not just for a month, but according to records, it has been happening for about 4 years. I used to hope that it would end within a month, but the change has been gradually increasing and is still ongoing, and only recently have I experienced changes in the Sahasrara (crown chakra) and both eyes. However, it still doesn't feel like it's over. It's surprisingly long. One of the reasons for this is probably due to my childhood mental illness. It is likely that I experienced excessive stress during puberty, which caused my brain to shrink and not grow normally. It seems that the brain, which should have grown, remained small due to stress, and the nerve fibers have become fused to the skull. This seems to have significantly affected my memory and thinking ability since high school, but recently, I feel like I am gradually returning to the brain activity I had in elementary and middle school.
Regarding the brain shrinkage, not only my own feelings, but when I consulted with a holistic therapist, they said that the position of my skull was misaligned and fused, and that it needed to be separated (and I am still undergoing regular treatments for that). The fact that not only I but also someone who is knowledgeable about the skeletal structure of the body makes that judgment, makes me think that it might be the case. If that's the case, I think that ordinary people probably wouldn't take this much time.
Whatever the reason, I have struggled and relaxed my mind, and as a result, other changes have also appeared. These changes include the sensation of concentrating on the area between my eyebrows (the area above the nose) during meditation, and then feeling an aura condensing around both eyes, naturally moving and expanding. At the same time, a strong aura appears in the area deep inside the perineum, the Muladhara (root chakra) or the Swadhisthana (sacral chakra), near the tailbone. The Muladhara and Swadhisthana are said to be the "beds" of Kundalini, and it is said that Kundalini rises from there. That area is being activated (especially without me consciously focusing on it).
According to the writings of Professor Hoshimi, in this area, the Ajna chakra (third eye) and the Muladhara chakra, as well as other chakras that are paired above and below, are said to be interconnected and related. In yoga training, it is also practiced to focus on or stimulate the opposite chakra to open the other. In this case, I was not consciously aware of this, but when I was focusing on the Ajna chakra in my forehead, I felt reactions in the Muladhara and Swadhisthana chakras.
I have been trying to relax my head for a long time, but compared to before, there is quite a bit of movement. Both eyes are moving slightly forward, there is movement in the back of the head, and there is relaxation and movement in various parts of the crown. I feel like I am about to enter, or want to enter, the next stage.
According to the same book, the translation function of the language of light blossoms around the end of the 8th level. I don't know what that is, but if it is the Nada sound that I have been hearing all along, perhaps this Nada sound will be heard as the language of light when I pass this level. That would be fun.
The changes in my head are still continuing, and the movement of both eyes seems to be a transitional phase. My eyelids and eyeballs feel like they have moved slightly forward, but it also feels somewhat incomplete. The shape of the area near the crown has also changed slightly, but there is still a feeling of tightness in various places.
It is taking quite a long time, but I still feel that I am steadily progressing.
