Recently, the changes in my meditation have been that, unlike before, where things would creak or make a "crack" sound and loosen, I've occasionally experienced a sensation like a partially inflated balloon suddenly expanding.
It's a fairly significant change in sensation, but not much physically changes. However, I feel like a balloon is suddenly inflating. It's a sensation of the top of my head suddenly expanding upwards. Previously, when I thought of my skull as a balloon, it seemed like the balloon itself was hardly expanding, even though it might creak or make a cracking sound. It felt like the structure was just starting to loosen, and even then, there was some movement inside, which led to a deeper relaxation.
Building on that, this time, I suddenly felt the top of my head inflate, not just loosening, but actually expanding slightly upwards. However, I can't see much of a difference in the mirror, so it's mostly a sensation.
As a result of the top of my head expanding, the area around the center of my head felt a bit constricted. However, during that same meditation session, that constriction loosened and relaxed, like a ring expanding.
Initially, I felt like a "ring" was tightly holding my head in place, like the one Son Goku wears. From that stage, while the ring was still maintaining its structure, a portion of it collapsed and expanded upwards.
Then, the "ring" that was still holding its shape suddenly began to collapse, and about half of its structure opened up, and I felt like not only the top of my head but also the center of my head loosened and started to move.
Previously, the loosening usually happened in specific areas with a "crack," such as the frontal lobe, the top of the head, the center, or the back of the throat. However, this time, I felt like the loosening was happening across a fairly wide area, with the sensation of the "balloon" expanding.
This feels like a situation where I take two steps forward and one step back, but I feel like I'm gradually loosening up.
My facial expression seems to be changing little by little, and I think my face shape is also changing, but maybe it's just my imagination. I've been taking selfies recently, so I might compare them later. I feel like my overall impression has changed a lot. This morning, I looked like "Shingo Takano" from the early days of "Gourmet Man," with big eyes and a prominent jawline, and I thought, "Is this really me?" I don't remember my face looking like that before. Perhaps the loosening of my head has caused my face to change.
