Changes in areas that respond to mantras.

A long time ago, various locations such as Muladhara, Manipura, the heart, or Vishuddha and Ajna seemed to react. The location that reacted also differed depending on the type of mantra, with some mantras reacting from Anahata to Vishuddha and Ajna, while others reacted throughout the body from bottom to top.

However, recently, no matter which mantra I use, it only reacts in the upper half of my head, from the forehead to the back of the head. And quite quickly, the entire head becomes activated, and a light vapor seems to rise from the entire head, going upwards.

Recently, I have been trying a different type of meditation, similar to the Kechari Mudra in yoga, which involves activating the pineal gland, Ajna chakra, by vibrating the tongue with breath. This had a certain effect, but I haven't been doing mantra meditation much lately, as I have been doing that meditation or simply silent meditation.

Recently, it has been taking longer for the light to reach Sahasrara with meditations that use tongue and breath vibrations or simply silent meditation. I was wondering what to do, so I tried mantra meditation after a long time, and to my surprise, the light quickly reached Sahasrara, and it started to extend upwards from there.

I had certain preconceived notions about the effects of mantras, such as "this mantra works for this part," or a certain classification based on experience. However, perhaps the effects of the mantra have changed as my own state has changed.

My interpretation is that mantras have an effect and manifest as a sensation in areas where the light has not yet reached, while in areas where the light is already sufficient, they do not manifest as a sensation.

Previously, there were areas in the body where the light had not yet reached, and that is why the mantra reacted in those areas. I think there is a tendency for each mantra to be good at certain things, but I think my current physical state has been appropriately reacting to that tendency.

Now, because the lower half of the head and below are quite saturated with light, the "sensation" may only appear in the upper part of the head, I interpret.

The fact that almost the same part of the upper half of the head reacts and a pillar of light or a vapor of light rises, no matter which mantra I chant, was a bit of a surprise for me, and it made me realize that the effects of a mantra can change depending on my own state.

Actually, I have tried quite a few different methods, but perhaps the rate of growth was about the same even if I had just been chanting the same mantra all along. I cannot compare them now, but I feel that might be the case.
