During nighttime meditation, it was probably only a few minutes, but afterward, as usual, I focused my awareness on the space between my eyebrows, and continued to draw in something like cosmic energy from the ajna chakra between my eyebrows, down to the vishuddha chakra in my throat, and then to the anahata chakra in my chest. The amount of energy that flowed down to the anahata chakra and below varied depending on the degree to which the ajna chakra and the energy channel in the center of the head were open. At that time, I would say it was "normal," although I felt like it could open more, but it was open to some extent.
Recently, because the anahata chakra has been opening and it has become easier to feel love, I felt a pressure-like sensation, and energy was filling my chest. Although I was in the middle of meditation, I suddenly recalled things from the past, and I remember that at that time, memories of a familiar song resurfaced, and I thought, "That feeling I temporarily felt when listening to that song was the same as the feeling of love in the anahata chakra." It's a famous song that starts with "We are on this journey to be happy..." I remembered things from the past when I heard this song for the first time in a while at the cafeteria the other day, but when I listen to this song (and remember those things), I get emotional and cry, so I try to appear calm so that I don't get strange looks from people around me. So, I was recalling the emotions that I had temporarily suppressed when I heard it at the cafeteria, and I was experiencing those feelings during meditation.
As if in response to the ajna chakra (third eye) between my eyebrows, my concentration on the ajna chakra intensified slightly, and I felt a slight pressure between my eyebrows. Suddenly, there was a strange surge of energy in the area around the sacrum, along my spine. In terms of height, it was at the same height as the upper part of my foot, along my spine. When I put my hand on the spot where I felt the sensation, and then moved my hand forward towards my foot, it was about the same height as the front of my thigh. So, it wasn't the very bottom of my spine, and I think it was probably around the sacrum. There was a strange surge of energy in that area that I had never felt before.
This sensation is difficult to express in words. If I were to describe it in terms of color, it would be a light, yellowish-brown color, similar to the color of soil, or a light yellow-brown, with the yellow being slightly stronger than the brown. It wasn't that everything was that color, but rather it was a circular or oval energy surge, and there were many fine brown lines within that circular area. The overall sensation was either brown or close to black, but it wasn't a complete white energy, nor was it a complete black energy, and there was no sense of "black" as gray, and it wasn't completely white either. It's a strange sensation, as if it has a slight color, but that color is neither a diluted black nor a white-based color. It's quite difficult to express.
After a while, the surge of energy subsided and returned to normal. What could it be? This is different from the love of Anahata, and also different from the cosmic energy of Ajna or Sahasrara. If that's the case, perhaps this is finally Kundalini. If that's the case, then the sensations I've been experiencing that I thought might be Kundalini were not actually Kundalini. Well, let's see. What will happen?
In the world, it is often said that "what people often think of as Kundalini is usually not Kundalini itself, but simply the Shakti (energy) rising." If what I've experienced so far was not Kundalini, but simply the Shakti rising, then that makes sense.
I think that if I can reproduce this energy and be in that state constantly, 24 hours a day, then that would be a true awakening.
If that's the case, then I am still not fully awakened, and there is still a lot of room for growth.
This is probably a matter of different schools of thought using different terminology.
- - This is called Kundalini, and the previous ones are not considered Kundalini, but rather Shakti (power). Both ascend.
- There are schools of thought that divide Kundalini into two: physical Kundalini and higher Kundalini. Both ascend.
- There are schools of thought that divide Kundalini into two or more, such as earthly Kundalini and cosmic Kundalini. Some schools of thought call things that descend Kundalini as well. The cosmic aspect is sometimes called cosmic Kundalini.
- ・Kundalini as physical (earthly) power. This corresponds to various stages: dominance of Manipura, Anahata, Vishuddha, and Ajna. The sensations at each stage are quite different. At this point, not much cosmic Kundalini energy is entering, and even with long meditation, one can only temporarily reach a state of stillness by occasionally reaching Sahasrara.
・Cosmic energy. Public consciousness of creation, destruction, and preservation. This is what is often referred to as the higher self. Union with Purusha (divine spirit). These were significant energetic changes, but they are more of a soul fusion, and while Kundalini energy is included in that, it doesn't seem to have a direct relationship in this context.
・This more fundamental Kundalini. It can be called higher, but it can also be said to be unearthly. It is an earthly energy. The ancient analogy of coils or a snake is perfectly appropriate. (It is unclear whether this is ordinary Kundalini or cosmic Kundalini.)
Probably, this is not the end, and there may be another stage of cosmic energy, and even further stages beyond that, but for now, it is only a premonition. If that is the case, then what temporarily appeared this time may be ordinary Kundalini, and the story of "cosmic Kundalini" may be something even further ahead, but we will have to observe.
First and foremost, it is important to stabilize the Kundalini (or serpent) that was temporarily experienced this time.
As suggested in the spiritual counseling the other day, if the Swadhisthana chakra around the sacrum is considered to be related to female energy, then it is understandable that a similar energy emerged around the sacrum when listening to music by a female singer. According to the counselor, the reason why there is a discrepancy in the common understanding of whether Kundalini is located in the Muladhara chakra or the Swadhisthana chakra is that the Muladhara chakra represents Kundalini as male energy, while the Swadhisthana chakra represents Kundalini as female energy, and that complete Kundalini awakening cannot occur without both. Since I am male, it is necessary to supplement and activate the female energy that is lacking in men, and simply listening to songs by a female singer may activate the female Kundalini in the Swadhisthana chakra, which in turn temporarily activates the overall Kundalini as a mixture of male and female energies.
The next morning. I observed the energy around the sacrum more closely while meditating in the same way. There was energy there, albeit faint, and it seems that this energy has been gradually present for a while, probably for a few months, but it was not a large amount of energy, so I was probably ignoring it. Even during the meditation the next morning, the basic practice is to concentrate on the space between the eyebrows and bring in cosmic energy from the Ajna chakra to the Anahata chakra in the chest, but while doing so, I feel a slight increase in energy around the sacrum, although not as much as last night.
Furthermore, while meditating, a small part of the energy in the sacrum traveled up the spine and reached the crown of the head. It is a faint energy, and it feels only slightly "tingly," so it is a subtle movement that I would probably ignore if it weren't for what happened around the sacrum the other day. If I had to describe it with the same "tingly" sensation, I have used that expression before, but this time, an energy with a faint image of brown or yellow color rose from the sacrum to the crown of the head. This is not the same as a strong energy rising like last night, but rather, it is only a faint energy that has risen. Therefore, I feel that there is still more to come, but the quality of the energy seems to be suggestive.
A few days later.
This is not just about a location; it is also related to the deepening or purification of consciousness. Initially, there is no sense that the concentration point between the eyebrows is connected to the energy around the sacrum, and there is no feeling that the area between the eyebrows is related to the sacrum. However, as you continue meditating and your consciousness deepens and purifies, a concentration point suddenly appears between the eyebrows. This concentration point existed before, but the feeling of concentration is different. When the concentration deepens to a certain extent, a sense of energy exchange and connection with the sacrum is felt. Here, the "deepening of consciousness" refers to the state where the concentration point between the eyebrows becomes this new state, and it is also a state where a connection with the sacrum is felt. On the other hand, "purification of consciousness" refers to the state of the aura around the head or the entire body, which is several stages (sometimes one stage, sometimes several stages) deeper and more tranquil than the state before starting meditation. The order in which these occur can vary. Sometimes, the concentration deepens and consciousness deepens before consciousness becomes tranquil. Other times, consciousness becomes tranquil before consciousness deepens and connects with the sacrum. In terms of understanding it intellectually, the order of "becoming tranquil before consciousness deepens" is easier to understand. However, when observing, it seems that there are also cases where consciousness deepens before becoming tranquil. However, both are necessary (regardless of the order) to achieve a certain level of connection with the energy of the sacrum. Even with a slight deepening of energy, it is possible even if the tranquility is not very deep. However, to firmly connect the sacrum and the area between the eyebrows, a certain level of tranquility is necessary. This is probably a matter of degree, and it seems that as tranquility deepens, concentration becomes easier, and the energy of the sacrum is also activated.
