I choose a life that is as difficult as I can endure.

In the world, there are many spiritual teachings that promote "the law of attraction" and "living a life of your dreams," but the true spiritual path involves living the most challenging life you can endure, as this allows for rapid growth. Living in this harsh reality requires courage, as simply living is difficult enough, let alone choosing a more difficult life. However, from a spiritual perspective, this is often the better path.

Therefore, if one could choose a timeline, this is simply a matter of making choices throughout life, which is perfectly normal. Even if the conscious mind seems to be carefully considering and choosing an easy life, in reality, most of what is happening is unknown to the conscious mind. Therefore, even if one tries to attract things or imagine the future, the results are often the same. Ultimately, the conscious self (the "jiva") ends up living the life that the higher self has envisioned.

Even if the conscious self thinks "a difficult life is good" or "an easy life is good," there is often little difference in the end, because the life chosen by the higher self is often already "a challenging life that is just barely bearable." This is usually the case. Therefore, it is pointless to compare oneself to others, as some people live more difficult lives than others.

However, this also reflects the way of thinking of the higher self, and there are different types of challenges. Therefore, what one finds challenging varies from person to person.

Moreover, everyone is not given the same challenges, and some lives may seem simply miserable, while others may be wealthy.

In these cases, if the higher self has a certain amount of life experience and knowledge of the world, the plan is often quite deliberate, and the level of difficulty is carefully considered. However, if the higher self itself is not very thoughtful, that becomes the "life they want to live," and while there may not be much hardship, the growth is also slow.

The connection between the conscious self and the higher self can be strong at times, and disconnected at other times. When they are connected, it means that the conscious self is the higher self, so the conscious self can make choices for the timeline during out-of-body experiences. On the other hand, when the higher self and the conscious self are separated, the intentions of the higher self are often difficult to understand, and only occasional inspirations may come.

In any case, the higher self plans out life. However, if you are not familiar with it, you may subconsciously choose a life that seems okay or interesting. And as you become more familiar, it challenges you to the limit. Then, it may become a difficult life, but you can overcome that hurdle. If you cannot overcome it, it will simply be a do-over, so there is no need to worry too much about it.

From this perspective, what is often said in the world as the "Law of Attraction" can sometimes be a type of "devil's whisper." While not everything is, there are a certain number of suspicious spiritual groups that use clever words to attract people like a new religion and enjoy profits. Therefore, it is better to be careful of spiritual practices that promise "worldly benefits." It often seems suspicious when people are attracted by sweet words like "living a life you want."

Rather, I have not yet heard of it, but if there is a spiritual practice that "attracts a life that is more difficult than the present, a life that is just barely bearable," it might be genuine (I cannot say for sure).

More than that, it is better to live a basic, ordinary life to the fullest. If you are a student, study diligently; if you are a working person, devote yourself to your work; or if you are a housewife, devote yourself to raising your children. You should basically ignore suspicious words like "attracting a good life."

In reality, this is something that you are already doing yourself without having to ask anyone. It is something that each person should do, and there is no need to rely on someone else. Sometimes, there are people who want to control others by making them dependent, and they may use such sweet words.

Even if it seems like life becomes easier, there are still things to do, and it will never end. Spiritual practices are not about being easy or difficult, but sweet words attract people in places that are not the true nature of spiritual practices, so be careful.

The true nature of spiritual practices is "to become free," and it is not about ease, manipulation, or attraction.
