Furthermore, it seems that it is optional rather than mandatory. When emotional release begins, similar to adolescence, emotional purification starts, and when one awakens to love, they become romantically inclined. At that time, Tantra can be effective, and it seems to quickly lead to Kundalini awakening. However, the sexual Tantric techniques are only useful at that stage, and if used before that, they can lead to corruption by being linked to physical sexual desires. Therefore, if you are not careful, you should not engage in sexual Tantra.
After that, sexual relationships are optional and not particularly prohibited, but I will stop here because writing about what happens after Kundalini awakening is unlikely to be relevant to most people.
Sexual Tantra is effective only when a certain degree of release has occurred, and you are close to Kundalini awakening. I would like to emphasize that it is effective only for a very short period.
Even before and after that, it is not particularly prohibited, but before that, it can become a boring act where only physical sensations are felt without any ecstasy, or there is a risk of becoming addicted to sexual relationships. Even if it seems like a pleasurable activity, from a spiritual perspective, the period during which it is effective is extremely limited in Tantric terms.
Therefore, if you have a partner who will not lead you astray, there are no particular restrictions on the activities, but if you are celibate, there is a risk of becoming corrupted by relationships and activities outside of this period.
Because of these risks, it is generally better not to rely on sexual Tantric techniques.
In the first place, sexual Tantra is a distorted interpretation in Western spirituality, and the original Tantra is not about sex at all; it is more like an energetic form of esoteric Buddhism. Therefore, it is better not to take the sexual Tantra that has been misinterpreted by Western spirituality seriously.
Moreover, very few people advance spiritually to the point where sexual Tantra becomes effective, and once they reach that level, they should be able to understand this to some extent. However, it is dangerous to be unable to judge for oneself or to be overly confident in one's self-judgment and engage in such activities.
In yoga, Ida and Pingala represent female and male energies, and Kundalini awakening occurs when the balance of these energies is regulated by oneself. Tantra is a way to supplement energies that do not match one's own sexuality. Therefore, if you do not have a certain foundation, nothing will happen, and it is more dangerous.
Such methods only shorten the period by a little, at most a few months, and I don't think it's necessary to take risks for such a small reduction. If you want to shorten the period, you can also use energy sessions as an alternative.
Kundalini is fundamentally about energy, so it's not directly linked to whether or not you have physical sexual relationships. What's important is whether you can achieve that state energetically. To put it extremely, if you already know the state of Kundalini (if you know it from a parallel universe, for example), you can achieve the same thing simply by remembering that energy and connecting to its past state.
There are people who often say in spiritual circles, "You only need to remember it." But that's literally for people who already know it from a parallel universe, otherwise, you wouldn't be able to remember it.
So, if you already know it, you only need to remember it, but if you don't, you'll need energy sessions or guidance from a teacher.
Therefore, if you don't understand and do sexual tantra, it will usually just be a pleasant activity, but for people who are not prepared, it has little to do with Kundalini.
