That, rather than being a good thing, creates an endless chain of "joy and suffering." It can even lead to even worse situations due to the reality that is created. Being caught in reincarnation is not a good thing for those seeking enlightenment or ascension. The current state of "flower garden" spirituality is that people are naively creating the reality they desire and rejoicing in it.
In terms of escaping difficult situations, it may have some meaning. However, I think that's about it.
Also, understanding that such a law exists and that it is actually possible has some meaning. By becoming conscious of creating reality in this way, it allows for a later, more comprehensive perspective on whether it is truly happiness, and gaining that initial understanding can have some meaning as a preliminary step.
Creating reality is the creation of Samsara by thoughts. Samsara is an illusion created by thoughts. That Samsara becomes real. Samsara becomes solidified and fixed, and becomes a tangible reality.
Some people are happy about creating reality through this law. In fact, everyone is already practicing the law of attraction, whether consciously or not. The reason your current life exists is because you attracted it. In other words, there is no reality that has not been attracted. Therefore, what has existed from the beginning is being called the "law of attraction" and being taught as if it were created by someone or a special technique (sometimes for a large sum of money), which is the reality of the spiritual business. In such a situation, even if someone is happy, most of the time that joy will further accelerate the cycle of Samsara.
When caught in Samsara, one initially dreams of living like a king. Eventually, one becomes bored with that and longs for the life of a ghost. One also imagines the future and actualizes it, experiencing a more advanced society. And sometimes one dreams of the lives of ancient times, and experiences a simple life as if going back in time. One may also want to experience the life of a king again. There is both joy and suffering in that.
People may say, "That is life." They may say that life is a mixture of joy and suffering. Shakespeare may have said the same thing.
And, what creates that is the Law of Attraction.
From the perspective of liberation or moksha (freedom), the Law of Attraction is not a good thing, but rather the origin of reincarnation. The Law of Attraction is activated by thoughts. Therefore, if thoughts disappear, reincarnation ends, and you connect with your infinite higher self.
The Law of Attraction is not something to be practiced; rather, it is to understand the Law of Attraction and prevent it from being activated. Stop thinking, and the Law of Attraction will not be activated, and reincarnation will end, leading to moksha (freedom) and liberation.
Whether they know it or not, the spiritual teachings in the world are naively promoting the Law of Attraction, making people participate in expensive seminars, and creating the reality they desire through that. That is not creating reality in this world, but rather it has always been that way, and it is simply a matter of becoming aware.
Perhaps, for some people, they may have been blindly following the Law of Attraction, not trying to create their own lives. They may have lived their lives according to the worldview given to them by others, and only seeking what others want. While there may be some meaning to people breaking away from the worldview of others and living their own lives, in my opinion, it seems that people who follow others and live a predetermined life tend to have more spiritual growth.
It seems rare for people to live as they want and yet have spiritual growth. That is because only people with great self-discipline can regulate themselves, follow morals and ethics, and live a clean and proper life. In many cases, people become corrupted when they are allowed to live freely. It is perfectly possible to attract money or a husband who allows you freedom through the Law of Attraction. If you seek that, that reality will come to you. That is a natural thing, and you don't need to learn it; if you become aware of it, the law will be activated. It is simply that if you have someone who supports you, regardless of spirituality, that is enough. No large amount of money is needed; what is needed is a friend you can consult with.
And what happens to the other person when you acquire a lot of money or a husband who loves you? The person who paid the money or the husband will be somewhat happy for a while. However, eventually, the person who paid the money will realize that the money was not worth it, and the husband will be disappointed if his wife is only free. This world is based on the law of mutual giving, and it is not a one-sided attraction. People who promote the Law of Attraction may explain it as a one-sided attraction. In a sense, that is true because your thoughts create reality. However, there is also the law of karma, and the reality you create follows the law of action and reaction. What you give will be returned in kind, and what you receive will eventually be required of you, whether you want it or not. If you refuse that, you will eventually be asked to change forcibly. That is because it is the law of this world.
Ultimately, even when it's called the "law of attraction," it can be said that it's simply creating reality. That is a normal thing.
Whether learning such a law will change the reality that is created depends on the individual. It's just that if what you seek changes, the reality also changes.
Perhaps what is being taught under the name of the "law of attraction" is actually how to raise your vibration. If your vibration rises, the reality you seek will change, and you will begin to imagine a more pure and moral reality, which will eventually manifest and be created as a tangible thing in this world. That has some meaning, but when viewed over an eternity, such a rise in vibration repeats the cycle of rising and falling vibrations along with the materialization cycle.
This universe is currently said to be in the dark age of Kali Yuga. We are in a bad era out of the four eras. And, even if a long time passes and it rises, if you do not reach Moksha (liberation), you will enter a cycle of decline again. The "law of attraction" alone cannot lead to Moksha; liberation is impossible. That is the point. Even if your vibration rises in the short term, it is happening throughout the universe. And then, an era of joy will come. After a long golden age, a period of decline will come again. The "law of attraction" can be said to be what creates that cycle. The cycle of joy and suffering continues due to the chain of Samsara.
The path to escape from that and become free (Moksha) is something that many people are not even aware of. However, in Japan, concepts such as liberation and emptiness have been passed down through Buddhism, so although there are not many people who fully understand it, the concepts are at least somewhat widespread. That is something to be thankful for.
The "law of attraction," which has been causing a stir in recent spirituality, is nothing more than a story that has been described as Samsara since ancient times, but is being presented as if it were a good thing. Whether it is simply because people are speaking without knowing, or because they are only picking out the convenient parts, the story has become quite different from its original context. And the current situation is that many people are happily participating in expensive seminars and paying a lot of money for it.
Buddha also talked about similar things. There is pleasure, attachment is born, it becomes suffering, and then it repeats. Whether they know it or not, people who talk about the "law of attraction" are mistakenly believing that they can create a reality that is always convenient for them. If pleasure continues forever, you will get bored. And you will degenerate. Eventually, you will want to experience suffering. And you will experience suffering. You will then want a life of pleasure and ease. You will want to live like a king. You will become attached. And then you will get bored again, and you will degenerate. You will repeat that forever. You will be reincarnated. The "law of attraction" is simply a story that says, "If you ask, you shall receive," and it is not a story about escaping from that cycle of joy and suffering.
Therefore, what is being taught is not new, nor is it progress, but rather, it is simply a rephrasing of basic concepts, making them seem more impressive (perhaps because of ignorance). It is as if they are teaching, or being taught, something amazing, when it is simply the basic principle that "people are driven by desires and live in reality."
As a result, they create further realities through the law of attraction, and are drawn into a cycle of reincarnation.
If you know the truth, you will probably think that participating in such expensive seminars is ridiculous. It is something that has been said since ancient times, and it is written in ancient scriptures without having to pay a large sum of money. There are many people who teach it. Unfortunately, ignorant people are attracted to the flashy advertising and slogans of marketing and lose a lot of money. Despite the fact that many people are teaching the true knowledge in various places, many people living in the modern era are ignoring it.
The marketing advertising uses keywords that attract people, rather than its true meaning. Therefore, it uses words like "true knowledge" or "hidden knowledge" to attract people. In this way, you can say anything with just words. Nowadays, with the existence of AI, words have become very sophisticated. In every world, there are people who are good at studying. Various people study and think about expressions that can attract others, and there are scammers who only think about taking from others, and they talk about things that seem true.
The classics and true knowledge do not change. Many people can repeat them like a mantra. However, what comes next is different for each person: whether they truly know it, or whether they are simply trying to lead people to seminars to earn a lot of money, or whether they have the purpose of inducting people into a cult.
In such a situation, if you are not careful, you will not be able to distinguish between the fake that advertises itself as "true knowledge" and the true knowledge that does not advertise itself. In order to reach the true knowledge, there is a prerequisite, which is a certain aptitude. There are many people who think they have acquired true knowledge by simply acquiring knowledge, but that is not the case. It is often not worth associating with such people.
It can be said that this is the end of the world, but it may also be a stage in understanding the cycle of attraction. First, you need to know, then you need to decide what to do, and you need to become aware of whether the reality you have created is truly happiness, and you need to become aware of the apparent happiness of life and the sometimes-occurring darkness of the heart, and you may begin to seek what is truly your own happiness. Until then, you are simply happy with your current situation and create the reality you want. It seems that as long as you do not realize that there is absolute happiness other than the law of attraction, you will continue to be swayed by various trivial spiritual stories, such as attracting reality in the short term.
Infinite consciousness is oneself, and it merges when thought stops. Therefore, thinking or desiring is the opposite of connecting with infinite consciousness. However, in reality, all beings are always connected to infinite consciousness, so it can also be said that they are constantly creating their own reality without even being conscious. Then, what is the infinite consciousness that appears when thought stops? It is a being that is not an object, has no subject or object, and has no action; it is not an "object to be understood," but "understanding itself," "consciousness itself," and "knowledge itself." To become one with it, to connect directly with it, to be conscious of consciousness, that is where freedom (moksha) lies. However, in most cases, people do not reach that point, but simply focus on using techniques to achieve their desired reality.
In reality, using techniques to create a reality that does not suit one's own being is also a way to obtain great happiness, but because it does not suit one's being, it is fleeting and quickly disappears. As a result, what appears there is "attachment." When that reality is about to disappear, "anger" arises, and conflicts occur because of a misunderstanding that others are threatening oneself. Sometimes, this expands into conflicts with others, or even wars between countries. And the losing side either dies, becomes a slave, or loses everything. If one lives happily in the environment given to them without using such techniques or the law of attraction, there may be no conflicts, no death, no slavery, and no loss.
It is wrapped in the language of the law of attraction, but in essence, it is just a "technique to fulfill desires." And the ultimate result of that is theft from others (consciously or unconsciously, and with the pretense of the other person's willingness). And for the other person who has been robbed, it creates resentment and becomes a source of conflict. Jealousy, hysteria, and all sorts of emotions in life crowd into that space.
And then, there are people who try to avoid such disasters even further through the techniques of the law of karma. Then, that disaster goes to someone else. And as a result, others become unhappy. Temporarily, they may be able to use the law of attraction or the law of karma to be happy. However, the consequences will eventually return to oneself in the long term. Even if one thinks that it is okay if one does not have children, eventually one will be reborn somewhere, and one may have to receive those consequences. Although it is not always the same person who receives them, children grow up thanks to the good deeds (punnya) left behind by others, and conversely, children suffer because of the bad deeds (papa) left behind by others. And the good and bad influences left in the environment continue to affect future generations.
Ultimately, if you acquire a lot, the law of karma dictates that you will give more. Conversely, if you give a lot, you will receive a lot. This is the basic principle.
On the other hand, there are people who are trying to use various techniques to exploit this law for their own benefit. This interferes with people who should be accumulating good deeds and living a good life, or who may eventually gain knowledge and reach liberation (moksha). Not only does it interfere, but it can also lead to people being used for someone else's desires, and having their time and freedom taken away. Therefore, people who use the law of attraction to manipulate others are doing something wrong.
While it is one's own choice to be drawn into the cycle of samsara by using the law of attraction, it is simply troublesome to involve others. In reality, the current society is driven by this troublesome behavior. Society moves by enslaving others.
So, how can we escape from this? The answer is not through the law of attraction. It is through gaining knowledge and escaping from the cycle of samsara. The first step is to determine what you are truly seeking, whether it is wealth or a partner, and to discern that.
