Does everything have a meaning?

As a common saying in spirituality, "Everything has a meaning!"

That may be true, but a common pitfall for beginners in spirituality is to arbitrarily decide the reason to suit their own convenience. In reality, there is indeed a reason, but whether one can know it is a different matter. Furthermore, there are not many cases where one even needs to know it.

Therefore, even if there is a reason, if one does not need to know it, knowing it will not have much meaning for oneself. Conversely, there are many things that one cannot know. There are cases where one can know it if it is caused by one's own karma, or if a spirit around one intervenes for some reason and reveals it as a clue. However, there may be cases where they do not tell you. They may teach you if they think it will help your growth, but otherwise, they will not. Basically, they will tell you if your spirit has grown to a certain extent. However, they will not tell you if your spirit is immature. This is because even if they tell you, it may not help, or you may even end up hating the spirit that is protecting you. In many cases, it is better to simply understand that it happened naturally. This is especially true for unfortunate events.

Therefore, it is often better to avoid thinking too much from a spiritual perspective and to use the metaphorical expression of "coincidence" by comparing it to common sense. If knowing the reason is useless, there is no point in explaining it, and if it could lead to being misunderstood or viewed with suspicion, it is sufficient to say, "You were just unlucky," or "It was just a coincidence."

In spirituality, knowing the reason may be interesting and intriguing, but it is questionable how much it contributes to one's own spiritual growth. There are many spiritual teachings in this world that simply satisfy one's curiosity, but in most cases, even if one learns something out of curiosity, it does not lead to one's own growth.

Therefore, the reasons are often quite mundane, but in most cases, there is no need to know them. It is better to simply understand it as "God's guidance" or "God decides the outcome" than to deliberately investigate the reason, which will save you time and allow you to use that time for your own spiritual growth.

Many people try to use spiritual knowledge for their own interests or for personal gain. However, spiritual practices focused solely on profit belong to the realm of magic and sorcery. While such ritualistic practices exist, the true essence of spirituality lies in personal growth, and obtaining profit is not the primary goal.

At times, during a long period of growth, it may be acceptable to enjoy such things as a temporary pleasure. It is necessary to occasionally enjoy oneself or take a break. However, it is important to understand that such self-serving spiritual pursuits are not the core of spirituality.
