When I listen to or read about spiritual topics, I sometimes hear that angels do not have free will, while humans do, which suggests that humans are superior.
However, based on my own experiences of out-of-body experiences and the things I have seen and remembered, I know that angels definitely have free will.
...What does this mean?
One possibility is that the dimension where angels exist is different from the dimension where humans exist.
In the world where humans live, yoga and the ancient Vedas describe it as "maya," which is like an illusion or a dream. There are various interpretations of this, but spiritually, this three-dimensional world is just one reality on a timeline, and other timelines exist simultaneously. This is often referred to as parallel universes, but from a higher dimension, this three-dimensional world is indeed like an illusion.
However, for humans, this three-dimensional world is a real reality.
Angels exist beyond dimensions, and sometimes they synchronize their consciousness with a particular timeline in the three-dimensional world to observe, intervene, or make contact.
From a human perspective, we are exercising what we call "free will" within this one timeline in the three-dimensional world. However, angels have a broader perspective, so from their point of view, even if humans claim to be exercising "free will," it is just a small event on a timeline. Since other timelines exist, it is unclear whether it can even be called free will.
Timelines are created by human choices and free will, but interventions can occur at the branching points of timelines based on the perspective of angels. This is because angels can foresee the future of the timelines, and they guide humans towards different timelines.
Sometimes, a new timeline is created, and sometimes, humans are unaware of it, or their own will reinforces the original timeline. From the perspective of angels, both are just one of the timelines. However, angels who want to learn new things are eager to intervene in timelines and create new ones.
While there is definitely free will in the three-dimensional human world, there is also the will of angels at a higher level.
This is only the case when angels are intervening, and it is unclear whether everyone is accompanied by angels.
Because angels are quite actively involved in the three-dimensional human world, it is unclear why someone would say that angels do not have free will.
Another possibility is that what are called "angels" are actually spirits of plants or minerals, like those found in fairy tales. These are often referred to as fairies.
Indeed, the appearance of angels and fairies can be quite similar, so if we are talking about spirits of plants or minerals, they may not have as much free will, but they probably have some will, even if it is very slow.
Another possibility is that, going back to the story of the creation of the universe, some books that channel the creation myths of the universe state that angels originally did not have free will. For example, "The Timeless Holy Legend" by Bob Ficks mentions this. It is possible that such things happened historically during the time of the creation of the universe, but I believe that the angels currently involved with Earth have a clear, albeit dimensionally different, will.
Although they exist in different dimensions, there are many similarities between angels and humans. They respect individual free will, and they have emotions, and their personalities are often similar to humans, including things like compassion.
Therefore, I often hear that angels do not have free will, but I do not understand what that means.
One speculation is that many angels did not have free will at the time of the creation of the universe, and that angels with free will appeared later, and that is when angels gained free will. If we consider that angels are actually a prototype of humanity on Earth, and that high-dimensional angels exist, and that humans are reincarnated as souls from those angels, it makes more sense. There are many "angel-type" humans on Earth, but there seem to be other types as well, so I do not know much about the other types.
