The reason I say this is because someone I know who lives near the coast is planning to move inland, but they have a lot of belongings and want to move them gradually by this winter. They're planning to take a break during the summer because it's hot, and move some of their belongings in the spring and fall. They intend to keep their resident registration at their old coastal home until the fall, when they can move it. However, I have a feeling that the situation will be that the old coastal home, where their resident registration is, will be washed away and the government will provide compensation, while they will have already moved most of their belongings to their inland home, so they will experience little to no damage, and they might even receive insurance money for the old home, which could be quite profitable. What a lucky situation that would be. The old home will be washed away, but it's so old that it could be demolished anyway, and perhaps it would be a good thing to get rid of it.
Of course, things don't always go as planned, but it seems like things are heading in that direction. I haven't told them anything, and I'm just observing the situation.
Based on this trend, it seems that the damage to the Kanto region will be limited. While coastal facilities may require inspection due to the tsunami, and infrastructure may be disrupted for about a week, the situation doesn't seem to be as severe as it was during the Fukushima disaster, when infrastructure was unstable for 1-2 weeks. If we prepare for that level of disruption, I think we should be okay.
I wrote a note about this last December, and at that time, it didn't seem as strong. However, I don't have that much certainty now, but I feel like the situation is aligning with my intuition.
Whether that will happen on July 6th is currently unknown. However, based on my memories from when I experienced out-of-body experiences as a child, it was during the early summer, so I think it's best to be cautious for about 1-2 months around that time. I don't remember if it was early morning, but I don't think it was in the evening, so it's likely to happen sometime between morning and early afternoon. I think it's probably in the morning. It's probably not too early in the morning, perhaps between 9 and 11. When I was a child, I remembered it more clearly, and there might have been a note somewhere, but I can't remember it now.
A while ago, I started stocking canned goods and gas cylinders in preparation for disasters, and I also bought a little more preserved food. I ordered so much water through the local tax program that I have more than I can drink, so I have enough stock.
To be honest, this is mainly about the Nankai Trough earthquake, which is something that is generally talked about. People will probably say, "Ah, it's here," and it won't be as surprising as the Tohoku earthquake. It feels like something that was bound to happen, and I think people will generally accept it calmly. Of course, there are sad aspects because of the damage, but at the same time, I feel a strong sense of "well, it can't be helped." So, while it is a serious matter, living in Japan, an island nation with a series of earthquakes, this was something that was bound to happen. That's why the house is earthquake-resistant, and even if a tsunami comes, the damage from the earthquake seems limited. Even if there is damage, it is within the expected range, and I don't think it will cause a significant decrease in Japan's population.
What is more concerning is what might come next: a meteorite falling into the South China Sea, causing massive tsunamis of hundreds of meters, leading to a large-scale population reduction, especially in China. The Nankai Trough earthquake might be a precursor to that.
It seems that in the areas that will be affected in 5 to 7 years, houses are being built and the area is prospering normally, so I feel like the earthquake or tsunami might not happen, or if it does, the damage will be limited and the recovery will be quick. If that's the case, it might not be something to worry about so much.
This year, I feel like there will be significant developments around September rather than July. However, I don't think it's something to be too worried about.
