...This is a story about the Vatican that came to me during meditation. I don't know if it's true.

It's a continuation of the story that Oda Nobunaga went to the Vatican. There, he became acquainted not only with the Pope but also with many cardinals.

In any case, the Pope seemed to be obsessed with money, and the feeling was that if you wanted to become Pope, you had to provide even more money.

However, there were people among the cardinals who had pure and good hearts, and I often talked with them.

In the world, the Vatican is often described as an evil organization, and the Jesuits are said to be plotting world conquest. Indeed, there are aspects of greed and world conquest, but there were also many people who sincerely wished for God and prayed for world peace.

There was a very gentle gentleman, whose name I've forgotten, and I often talked with him.

We talked about interpretations of Christianity based on the Bible, the Pope's ideas, and how Christianity would contribute to world peace in the future.

I think the Bible at that time was in Latin, but I couldn't read it, so I sometimes asked a translator, but I was gradually studying Latin. However, reading the alphabet was difficult, and I couldn't seem to remember it. It's tough to learn Latin with the alphabet when you're older.

Finally, when I was nearing the end of my life, I was unsure about what to do with my possessions. I had originally intended to donate them to the Vatican, but since the Pope was so obsessed with money, I decided to give them all to a loyal black man.

I signed some documents without fully understanding, but the Vatican had very strict procedures for such matters. I don't think there were any instances of breaking the rules and stealing property.

After Nobunaga's death, the black man, who didn't fully understand, realized that the property had become his, and he was surprised and quite happy.

Well, sometimes it's good to have such rewards.

The black man, who was originally a slave brought to Japan, was favored by Nobunaga, and eventually accompanied him to the Vatican. He must have been tired.

Moreover, he was guarding and protecting treasures in the Vatican all day long, and Rome is colder than Japan, so he was particularly cold in the winter. Perhaps some of his hardships were rewarded.

After that Black man died, it seems his property became owned by the Vatican. He was able to live a prosperous life for a while, and although it's a small story, I think it's a good thing.
