The Kundalini energy starts near the Muladhara or Swadhisthana and rises along the Sushumna, which runs along the spine. However, according to the general consensus, it rises straight to the Sahasrara.
But, according to various mystical traditions, this is not correct. In reality, after it reaches the Ajna, which is between the eyebrows, it goes to the back of the head and then rises again.
When reading accounts of Kundalini experiences, I often see stories about how, when Kundalini rises, it sometimes goes straight to the top of the head and the energy flows out of the Sahasrara at the top of the head. However, to me, this seems like a case of energy running wild, and it may cause the energy pathways within the body to become abnormal. Of course, this is not always the case, and it depends on the time, circumstances, and symptoms. However, there is a risk of this happening.
On the other hand, the energy that is called Higher Self, Cosmic Kundalini, or 6th-dimensional Higher Self seems to be able to flow linearly, without being blocked by these pathways, as if it connects from the heavens through the body to the earth.
In particular, this 6th-dimensional Higher Self initially connects to the body from the back of the Anahata, and then that connection expands, spreading awareness not only to the heavens and the earth, but also to the surroundings. However, the same type of energy exists even before merging with the Higher Self, and it seems to be recognized as energy from the heavens even before merging with the Higher Self.
This energy from the heavens, or the energy of the Higher Self, flows straight down from the heavens and fills or purifies the body.
On the other hand, once it connects to the body through the Anahata, the energy of the Anahata connects directly to the heavens and the earth.
